It's my opinion that faith has something to do with it. And what i meant by that is that you have to have faith that you will get through the hard times, and have faith that all your hard times in the modeling industry will pay off in the long run. Like i said, it might not always be a friendly industry, but if it's something you want your going to have to suck it up and keep going. Don't let assholes who are out there to to hurt people hurt you. Yes the words might sting, but you have to prevail. It's not an industry for everyone, and not everyone can handle it. I just hope i am able to handle the pressure and criticism that comes with it.

i'm gonna jump into this conversation;
it's kind of like that with any kind of dream, you've got to not worry about what other people think and know that you're doing this for you, not for anyone else, because once you let yourself think you're doing this for someone else, their opinions will be more and more important to you, thus letting yourself be taken in by popular belief and giving up the faith you have in yourself.
the modeling world is pretty harsh, though. i've got to say.

Yes! That's what i think happens sometimes you know? Like people hear "you'll never make it." or they get rejected by a client a lot and then they start to think negatively about themselves and forget that the industry they are in involves a lot of rejection. But to be a high fashion model isn't something you can just wake up and do.

Because that quirky look is interesting to look at and they aren't necessarily ugly, just have a unique face. Plus, there are a lot of different types of models, so it can range!

Hmm.. I'm annoyed at the particular standards one has to meet to be a model.

Why every woman has to be 5'7" and 80lbs is beyond me anyway.

I'm only 5'2", and 120lbs, but I have curves and that is what companies are starting to look for. I could walk into an agency tomorrow.

And the reason why models are ugly is because of so many layers of disgusting chemicals smeared on their faces, along with the fact that photoshop can do anything with anyone's body.
