There was a situation where I was having a conversation with this dude who seemed like a stand-up fellow. He seemed cool enough, articulate, mild-mannered, etc. A dude I'd be friends with. Then through various comments he made in passing I realized he was a racist. He wasn't racist against latinos, but he had a big thing against black people. I found that I lost all respect for him and just walked off.

In most GDers lifetimes the white majority will decrease; either Hispanics or blacks will become the majority. Honestly, I don't care what "color" someone's skin is. Unfortunately, there are those who fulfill the stereotypes, but then there are totally different people. Just because someone's black or Hispanic doesn't mean they're like the racial stereotype. Hang out with whom you want to, even they're only Caucasians, but don't discriminate.
