Yes-- I genuinely do. 95% of the general population lives in a different world than I do. My interests are way too ******** intellectual for most people to level with, I talk incessantly about them, and most people's eyes tend to glaze over during a typical conversation.

Not to suggest I'm a social melvin-- just that I do a very poor job of pretending to be "average." My closest friends don't even really seem to get me too well.
At work, it's only a matter of minutes before people I just meet spew out something really patronizing like: "Why does somebody like you work here?"

It takes me about 3-4 of talking to someone online before I get bored of them. If you're cool, we'll have a good 5 years of chatting.
If I knew you in person, then you could multiply those years by a lifetime.
