Remember the shock and awe of seeing The Wind Waker for the first time. After seeing the realism of the tech demo shown to us, the finished product was far from what was expected. Taking in the beautiful cel-shaded cartoon style artwork and gameplay was something that grew quickly on all of us. Fans were quick to place The Wind Waker’s art style at the top of their list and amazing pieces of artwork shortly after sprung up from no where. After almost an entire decade we are still seeing artwork from many different styles find its way from a fan’s mind to reality.

Reddit user fourzero40 is one of these artists. Putting his talent to good use, he has made an amazing stained glass featuring Link from The Wind Waker. Check it out for yourself.

Seeing the art that Zelda fans are capable of just inspires me. All the songs, paintings, drawings, sculptures, and even stained glass that come from Zelda has to prove that Zelda fans really are the most creative and inspiring. What are your thoughts on this true piece of artwork?
Wow....I could never create something like that.XD
Ocarina of Time. The name brings up a lot of memories for almost every gamer out there. With such an emmersive world and deep character driven story line, who wouldn’t want to share their experiences playing the game with the people they love? Game Informer has done just that with a video they made creating a bedtime story out of Ocarina of Time.

If you’re curious on how you could fit everything that happened in Ocarina of Time into a single bedtime story then watch the video, and find out for yourself.

Imagine your parents telling you a bedtime story almost every night to fall asleep for years and years and when you’re finally old enough, they break the news to you. “You know the bedtime story we have been telling you? Well its not just a story. Its a video game that I used to play and now that you’re old enough, you can experience it for yourself.” Personally, I would have loved this, but what are your thoughts on the game being used as a bedtime story.

My thought?
THEY STOLE MY IDEA!XD
Seriously, though, this is something I had planned to do for MY kid, as he or she grew.
I guess I wasn't the only one who thought it was a good idea. Not that surprising, but I'm sad that I wasn't the first to do it.XD

I'm going to be telling my kid/s the story of majora's mask. biggrin
YouTube member Habboi recently uploaded a video of their personal project, a complete recreation of the magical kingdom of Zeal from the Super Nintendo game Chrono Trigger. He managed to capture the entire look of all four islands, the three cities, and even the parked blackbird and blue sealed pyramid. Every little detail was included and displayed in The Wind Waker’s cel-shaded graphics style. Within the video we look at all the different regions of the islands from all corners including a few close up scenes of the countryside and water while listening to a version of the original Zeal theme.

See it for yourself.

This is a project that I have been working on since late last year. I never got the chance to play Chrono Trigger when I was a child but I managed to play it on an emulator last year. It’s an absolutely brilliant game and I can see why some people called it “ahead of its time” when it first came out.

Anyway it came out on the Wii store a while back and I immediately bought it because I wanted to experience the journey again. That’s when I reached The Kingdom of Zeal and something inside me wanted to experience the world of Zeal in 3D so I decided that my next project would be to recreate it.

Many, many months later I finally finished it. I spent a lot of time redesigning it and trying to find a style that suited my abilities and tastes. Eventually my search led to the art style from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker by Nintendo and that’s when things started to pick up. I had found my aim and I spent the next few months researching the style, asking friends and strangers for help with recreating certain effects and experimenting with shaders in order to capture the look and feel of Wind Waker. I even watched Dragon Ball: Z again as the building designs are almost identical.

This was awesome, I loved Chrono Trigger and Zeal was amazing. Now I want to play this just to wander around a 3D Zeal. I’m sure many people might be reminded of Skyloft when they see this but Chrono Trigger had its own kingdom above the clouds. This makes me pretty nostalgic for Chrono Trigger now, I might go play it again after watching this.

So what do you think? Do you like the video? Would you like to see more from Habboi? Let us know in the comments below.
that stained glass is gorgeous, i would love to have something like that in my house....i made a fierce deity mask a long time ago. if anyone wants to see it, here's the link
more recently, i made triforce earrings but i need to get a picture of those yet.
gotta love ocarina of time, but i love every zelda game minus cdi's but yeah i beat ocarina with everything +all glitches and i love link's zora tunic! i pretty much memorized everything in that game, in 3ds and n64. i even beat the mirrored master quest in a day! i own every zelda game out, but i want a remake of majora's mask for 3ds! ninja
