Sticky: XBox 360 vs PS3 vs Wii

I only bought one game this year...

Only because my Batman fanboyism rules all. This year has been hit and miss.

Especially with the 360 since there is nothing on the system that I truly excpet maybe ODST or Raiden IV.

Other than that I say stick with the hand helds, least they have great games. Consoles? Not so much this year with an exception of a few.

It was Arkahm Asylum to me that is the Game of the Year and only worth the 60 dollars.

Other than that nothing else has been near to perfection as Arkahm Asylum ever will be.

Besides Uncharted 2, seem to be a bit too serious and not enough of the Indy Jones feel.

I guess I did buy the Metroid Prime Trilogy this year. Remakes, but still awesome. Did you have a 360? Left 4 Dead 2 is DEFINITELY a must have. I'm on the PC version, and I know it isn't out yet, but there IS that much more in it.

As of now, I'm waiting for Modern Warfare 2 reviews, and I'll probably pick up New Super Mario Bros.

There is a TON of new s**t that just wouldn't work as and expansion on the original, and that's just the demo version (does not include other multiplayer modes, or all weapons, and maybe not even all the special infected). I can understand MW2, though. Hell, I picked up the first when it went on sale for $40.

As a owner of all three consoles, I have to say that the Xbox 360 even with it's hardware flaws (that evil RRoD) still comes out on top. I buy all of my multiconsole titles for it, and I find the quality of games (not by much, but the best example I can think is Ghostbusters: The Video Game.. see a side by side shot to understand) and the controller better overall. PS3 is a great bluray player though.

Wii is just a fun for everyone console and has the majority of co-op/party at home games which is why I believe it stands out so much in the market today, not it's controller. It's very hard to find non-online multiplayer games on Xbox 360 and PS3.
