"Drinky McIrish" "Gaminex" "Drinky McIrish" "superjesus117" "Drinky McIrish" "superjesus117" Just throwing it out there, but on the 360, they do work. Always. Never seen it NOT work Maby it was your disc, my friends has them all for that game And yes, he is one of those D-bag Achievements Whores And no, I didn't use cheats. Please clarify yourself, are you saying that resistance and uncharted gave you hard times with achiements? Because those were PS3 only. Just need to know. My conversation with Superjesus here is about the 360's achievements, and how Saints Row didn't work right for me. Honestly, I don't give two shits about the Trophy system, just as I don't care about Achievements. They don't add anything to the games for me, and their absence on the PS3 up to Wednesday didn't trouble me at all. 1. A few just for playing through a game, so that you have a cool mark of your profiles saying that you have, in fact, completed Assassin's Creed or Dead Rising. 2. A lot based on skill. Better players get marks for achieving so much, like leveling up in Call of Duty 4. 3. Some for random encounters. A little blip for finding a hidden area, or for being patient through an optional side quest, or slapping someone in the face, just to make the humor and satisfaction that much greater. Valve, for the most part, did a lot of good with their Team Fortress achievements, and as they were tied to unlocking weapons, they had a nice platform of which achievements would come for better players, while many others were possible by spending some time on the class. Otherwise, I like achievements in games for completing other stuff. Growing up with Zelda, I like collecting everything, and getting a little bit more for spending time in single player would be nice for when I can't hop on XBL. Achievements might make you spend some extra time in a game, or even clue you in on something to do in order to unlock hidden features/endings/items. |
