the reason halo is awesome is because the story makes sense, you can feel for john and cortana and yes while playing if you're in a situation you feel helpless you don't feel like JOHN is helpless, YOU the player are helpless, not unlike fighting vile in megaman X on the SNES. the weapon designs and functions, the abilities, the PAA(powered assualt armor) designs the technology, it probably helps that cortana is hot as hell, and the FLOOD i mean COME ON! the flood was like the scariest thing in gaming history, even deadspace's necromorphs can't compare to the flood.am i right?

I was actually surprised of how many people were upset that the Flood weren't going to be in H4. And the story line is great; but making sense? Not completely. The forerunners and the humans fought and the humans were completely annihilated so the Forerunners recreated the human race. It sounds simple when I say it but it's way more complicated than that. It doesn't completely make sense. But I'm like the greatest Halo fan of all time. Halo CE came out on my birthday. But the storyline is sort of confusing.

For the Topic of "humans fighting Forerunners", it's contained within the Forerunner saga books, Cryptum and Primordium.


both Kelly and Linda were in Glasslands, but the one with the Nanomachine mk VI Mjolnir was Naomi, a Spartan II uniquely introduced in that book. Kelly and Linda (among other Spartan II's and III's) were trapped on a shield world featured within that book and the book Ghosts of Onyx.

Linda was "Dead", but not beyond restoration. she was Frozen in a Cryo-tube because it was potentially possible to help her.
It was in Halo: First Strike Dr.Halsey was able to save Linda.

I could flip through either of First strike or Glasslands to give you a page reference, but you'd ultimately need the book to see for yourself, I don't know any links of Bungie or 343 comfirming Linda's well being, as it's only a topic ever discussed in the books.

(though, I've read on a wiki that most of the remaining Spartan-II's were at the memorial at the end of Halo 3 scratch that, it was in Glasslands it was mentioned)

I have loved the Halo series ever since I started playing it. It was my first FPS on the xbox, and Halo 3 was the first FPS I played online. I am getting Halo 4 because it looks like it is going to be an awesome game, and I can't wait.

I just hope this Halo will bring more people into the story line. In Halo: Reach, I think people got a feeling for the story line but at the same time they were like WTF. Especially if you just started playing. + the graphics look sick. If there was an award for Most Over-Anticipated Game of the year, it would def be H4.

I like how you can join in the middle of a game now, so if someone quits it doesn't ruin the whole game. Also you have to work to get the armor abilities that were in Reach. I just like how they are changing the game.

Yeah, they said they were going to have active roster in Reach, what happened to that?

"spartans don't die they just go missing in action" but, i never saw proof he ever left before detonating the area butying the forerunner stuff, i saw halsey in a chopper, cheif mentions halsey in the halo 4 trailers, jun is not seen or heard from. atleast not so far. as far as is known jun is dead, because it makes no sense that jun survives when the rest of noble dies.

thank you, i have not read the books cryptum or primordium, which is why i did not know this, my mistake about kelly vs naomi, i don't remember seeing any spartans at the end of halo 3, i can look again i'm playing it now on a quest for skulls.
