Many reasons: people are stupid and lose them, they rather have "hard-drives" or w/e, and sometimes if you buy 3rd party memory cards, you might end up erasing data on the memory card if you try and save a new game.

Sometimes u can lose them, they r expensive because u need a lot if u want to save all of ur games, and sometimes daa is corrupted or lost. My cousin was almost done finishing a 100% ffX-2 game and the data disappeared from the memory card.

yeah i read it, it was so stupid it made me stupid reading it. and now im stupid, and memory cars suck because if you have nearly beaten a game and then your stupid a** 10 year old cousin comes over and "accidently" switches memory cards, and brings yours back broken, you want to kill people.

What is wrong with mem. cards?? all i here over gaia is "I hate Memory cards" but i dont know why people hate them so??? I love memory cards! So whats wrong with them?

because if you lose them you pretty much just lost a game you may have spent 80 hour's oin and havent beaten, and then you have to start all over, or if you had a character exactly how you wanted it, and your lose or break your memory card, you may never be able to get that character back to the way it was.
