Whats wrong with Memory cards?

It also works the other way around, you have a CD game, but you lose the memory card, whatever was on it is now lost. I've had that happen to my PS1...over 13 games of FFVII and many others including Arc The Lad with over 200 hours of play time and most chars on level 350+. I'd really rather buy a new game then go thru all of that time to get back to where I was.

Well, most everyone has mentioned the many pros & cons to both memory cards & hard drives. I myself prefere mem. cards, but I would like them to be a bit tougher, & much less likely to corrupt your data (this happened innurable times w/ my PSO files ;. wink . Another good side to mem. cards is they are MUCH cheaper than a built-in HD.

Hm... Gamecube for $99 & a $25 mem. card or a $180 X-Box? lol

Built in harddrive = 10 GB+ (can be modded to have over 100GB)
memory card = 30 MB+

Tell the difference yourself, and don't start on the systems, the xbox is priced that because you get what you pay for, same goes with gamecube. Good system = expensive. Crap System = cheap. Look at the SNES, it's so much pwnage that it's STILL high priced. Another thing...

I never said anything about the PS2. domokun Also, once again I'm stating facts, and I never said the Xbox was sturdy, I said it has more stuffs. But to compare, drop the systems from 6 feet onto concrete ( I did this myself) the Gamecube gets broken and barely works after words, while the Xbox gets a scratch or 2, maye a crack, but still works fine. Also, another downfall of the Gamecube is that it is a poor seller, it has lower sells than N64, that shows how much ppl like it right there, for it is the consumer and since the Gamecube is selling so poorly that means the worldwide consumers prefer Xbox and PS2 over the Gamecube, EVEN when the GC is cheaper.
