Whats wrong with Memory cards?

What is wrong with mem. cards?? all i here over gaia is "I hate Memory cards" but i dont know why people hate them so??? I love memory cards! So whats wrong with them?

easy to lose, not reliable enough, they don't hold a lot of memory, and can break easily.

I love and hate memory cards. I would like to be able to save any game any time without worrying about having a memory card to fit it on or not, or if the data is going to get corrupted, or if I lose it, etc. etc. But, I would also like a memory card feature so that you can take your game data with you to a friend's house without bringing your entire console.

The X-box sort of does this, but a lot of games either don't fit on the memory card or whatever you want to call it, or they just aren't compatible with it.

Memory cards are quite the improvement compared to what used to be the standard... internal batteries or just not being able to save at all. whee Memory units are better for saving when renting games, and if it dies one can just buy a new one. When internal batteries die... one is just out of luck and the game cartridge can't save. sweatdrop

I love mem cards, I only dislike them when the dont have enough memory, and I quess they are easy to broken, cause A friend of mine recently had mer memory card chewed up by her dog and lost all her stuff, wich would suck, but I personaly dont have any problems with them

i am all good with memory cards....never failed me.....they are easy,portable, hold alot of stuff, and cool looking...so i am all for it

Many reasons: people are stupid and lose them, they rather have "hard-drives" or w/e, and sometimes if you buy 3rd party memory cards, you might end up erasing data on the memory card if you try and save a new game.

I like them, i still own all 9 Sony brand PSone cards and 4 Sony brand PS2 cards, and i've had no problems with any of them.......

To me a memory card is just another thing you have to buy if you wanna keep going from where u left off. thats why i like my xbox its got a trillabite of memory so i dont think ill ever run out of space on it... (the only thing i find sad about it is that most of it wasnt made by microsoft)

Okay, but what do you do when you want to play with your game data at a friends house? I just take my Memory card.....

they go back and forth with me. there are times where i like'em, and times i hate'em. so yeah
