The first game I played was either Super Mario Bros. or Pac-Man.
The most recent game I've played is MadWorld, unless you count replaying older games, in which case would be Skies of Arcadia Legends on GameCube, oh and I replayed No More Heroes again recently, so I guess that counts.

On the side of buying them with my own money rather than receiving them as gifts: First game I bought was Resident Evil 4 on GameCube, the most recent one I've bought is Mario Kart Wii.

Well then if we're going for video games we bought then first game I bought: Ratchet and Clank

I own Mirror's Edge as well. That was the first game I bought for my 360. It is amazing, and I believe they should make more free running games like that. Possibly a bit longer though. 9Chapters wasn't enough for me, I craved for more.

For me it was the original Mario Bros. for the NES back in probably 94 or 95 cant remember at the moment and the recent game Iv played so far has been the PC version of Halo.

I am still in my first few years of gaming but I learned a lot in a few months like how to tell a good game and a terrible game apart before playing them. I got my first game when I was 8 and I am now 13 still looking for more video games like Mirror's Edge and Beyond Good and Evil. Two incredibly inspiring games and I am still looking for a sequel to both but Beyond Good and Evil might not get its sequel because it was terribly under appreciated but anyone who has played it will tell you the same thing: Simply amazing, even the critics say that
