Seriously? It's enough to keep me amused, anyway. Which Monster Rancher game is generally considered the best one, since I might want to look into it?

That'd probably be MR2 by a long shot. Three and four on the PS2 are also very decent in their own rights. DS was okay, as were the GBA titles, but personally I feel the non-disc generation methods were not quite as magical as having to rummage through your old CDs and s**t to make monsters.
