Terranigma. People know it's a good game, but it never had a big healthy fandom like a lot of its competitors so I think it counts here.

That's a pretty big question, but to save you some time, pretty much anything made by Platinum Games and Grasshopper Manufacturer.

The ones that I can specifically mention as my most favorite would have to be the Drakengard series. I don't often see games that get as dark and bizarre as those games.
