Time Hollow (NDS)

Anyone else play this game? If not, I highly recommend it.

IT WAS AMAZING.

The game's a little old, came out a few months ago. But it didn't get the attention it deserved. so here's my description:

The story follows a boy named Ethan Kairos. His seventeenth birthday is coming up, and he is hinting to his parents that he wants a watch. His father completely ignores him when he hints at it. Later that night his uncle Derek comes in trying to get money out of his father. They have a huge fight, and Derek storms out. Ethan goes to sleep.

When he wakes up, there's a portal next to his bed. His room has changed, and his cat has a note and a pen attached to it's collar. Ethan removes the pen, and touches the portal with the tip of it; and it closes. When he leaves his room, he finds that his entire world has changed...




You play through by using the pen, called the 'Hollow Pen' to open holes in time, where Ethan gets flashbacks. Changing a little detail in the hole can alter a good amount of things in your current reality; or in frustrating cases, nothing changes at all and you must find more clues.


The game is considered the 'spiritual successor' to the PS2 Game Shadow of Destiny.

Time Hollow is an amazing game. It's opening anime cutscene is in the American version of DDR X on the PS2. But it still hasn't gotten too much attention.

Anyone else who's played it hoping for a sequel? smile

I played it, but I'm gonna go return it tomorrow. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVED the game, but it only took me a day to beat it. Plus, there's just not enough replay value for a game that's just so short

Have you played Hotel Dusk? I played that one first, and Time Hollow just reminded me of an anime/fantasy version of it. I love those types of games heart

No, it doesn't. It doesn't have any fantasy aspect to it at all, but it's the mystery-novel type game. I found it really fun.

Oh, and you really need to add that Time Hollow has an AMAZING opening. I was really stunned whenever I saw it.

I'm more into the time aspect though... I checked out that game and it wasn't really my style. But thanks for the recommendation smile

Wow. Go ahead 7 years and only go back once or twice, but always going back to the damn pedestal.

MM you CONSTANTLY go back. It's the only way to save. And when you go back in time, you actually go back. Everything resets to day 1.

Yeah, my sis (who may actually be replying to this thread right now) played and loved Time Hollow, and then tried Hotel Dusk, but she really couldn't get into it. But that's just because teh people weren't as pretty lol

People were complaining mainly because it's so short (sorreh Airmaid) but it was still great. The storyline alone and it's twists were awesome biggrin
