I'm trying to get into Team Fortress 2, and I think my classes of choice will be more defensive, mostly Engineer and Pyro. The trouble is, my mouse hand seems really unstable, so confrontations are hard.
Any tips?

Your mouse hand? You mean it kind of spazzes during confrontations so you can't aim?

Hello thread

Hey Muffin.
Thanks for stopping in man. ^_^

So have you played any of the Valve games?

Yeah. I think it may be carpal tunnel from all the various things I do with my wrists. I really don't know how to fix it, which is really lame, because I do love this game and I want to get better at it. It doesn't seem like there are enough engineers out there.
Valve = Love. Other than the Orange Box, I get my game on with CS (both 1.6 and source) and L4D.

Sup GREED. cool
Hmm, yes I have. I have Portal on the hard drive of my 360 and I used to play Counterstrike back in the days when it was popular

Perhaps a lower arched mouse might help. That way you aren't holding your wrist in an upward arch when you're holding the mouse. Of course I have no idea about situations like this so I could be wrong. sweatdrop
Although, being an engineer is nice in your situation since most of the time they are just defending in their own base with their sentry to do all the aiming and combat for them. You're right, I play a lot of matches in Capture the Flag where there's barely any Engineers to do the defending and most of the times the Engineers that do play are just plain bad at it. D:

Well, what I did to cure my shaking mouse hand was get really good at sniper (using the sniper rifle, not the huntsman.). It forces you to move your view quickly, and stop on the dot. Try going as a clearance sniper first, taking out other snipers and shooting heavies, as they are slow. Learn this, and then start aiming for faster targets and moving in. Then by the time you master that you can aim properly from any range as any class, shaky hand or no. Also tweak your mouse sensitivity.

Dude, Left 4 Dead was ******** fun. I kept killing all my teammates in expert mode or attracted a bunch of zombies and lured them to the rest of my team xD
Hey Mare!
I'm so happy you guys are here. : D

Muffin: I just recently beat Portal about a day ago. I thought it was a good game. For some reason it took me a minute or so to figure out exactly what I was supposed to do with GlaDOS. O.o

I have never played Counterstrike. From all these people mentioning how much they enjoy playing it I'll be adding it to my list of games I need to play. xD

roflmao.
@Muffin: lol troll-play. Fun once in a while. I always lol at the noobs who try to scare the witch in an attempt to troll the team and then die. Haven't played for about a month and a half, need to get back on and finish the campaigns lol.

Also, TF2-wise, I'm a huge fan of Pyro, mostly, though I occasionally venture into Heavy, Sniper, and Scout. The other classes I use once in a while, but the only ones I almost never touch are Medic and Spy.
Greed, you should totally play some Counter-Strike, that game remains great even after years and years.

I also rarely play as Medic.
I think I've only played it once.

Spy on the other hand I play frequently.
Though recently I've been favoring Sniper over Spy.
