It's not bad. I'm at the point in my trading career (lol) that I don't give a s**t if I'm not getting full value for something if I'm happy wtih the trade. I also assume the person knows what they're offering and the values of the corresponding sides of the trade. If they're happy in the end, I'm happy. I don't mind overpaying either as long as I get what I was looking for.

I ran into my first legitimate cheater. It was weird because I don't know how much of it was buffs, and how much was just how he played. The server I was on I know didn't have any premium and it was far too subtle for that sort of style. He seemed to move faster and have insane aim (think headshots just after getting into the scope at several different ranges, along with VERY beast flares). I swear once he got fully healed after taking a pipe on his scout, having no time to grab the necessary heals and appear where he did after. The ******** up part was the human aspect. He'd stop to taunt and be cocky, and often ******** up around stickies, but then he'd still airblast the crap out of them where he wanted to every first frame he got. It was ridiculous and I can't figure it out. Was he just using the most of his frames, and if so, who the hell was he since this was no ordinary pubber. Because of that, why could I still put up a fight against him? Server was mostly empty, me and another guy played against him ignoring the koth point and then my buddy (who wasn't doing much) left and I got a few more chances of a real direct 1v1.

Was weird encounter, that's for sure. Half of me wants to believe that it's possible to play like he did, and set it for a benchmark to aim for myself, since I'm just working on improving all I can anyway.

I've met someone like this on a 2fort server. scream It was this douchebag going around as a spy, he never cloaked or disguised, but always had his L'etranger out and getting head-shots/two-hit kills against my entire team. I have never seen that done before, so this guy was either using some sort of hack, or hes incredibly stupid good at taking on a pyro, soldier and scout all at once.

I've had people using obvious speed hacks on a trade server. ON A MOTHER ******** TRADE SERVER! I mean, what's the point? It's a goddamn trade server.

This may be old news for some people but if you watched the VGA's on spick this weekend did anyone see that Valve was wearing Hafe Life 3 t-shirts!

I don't get the HL craze. I played HL2. It was okay, but nothing special.

While I don't personally like playing Half Life and Half Life 2, I think they're really well made games with a great plot. I love watching my boyfriend play. So, while I wouldn't buy it or even play it if they made more Half Life, I would really like them to make it.
Plus I really, really love Alyx Vance. And Eli. And the Vortigaunt (Vortigaunts?). And Dog. And Barney. and Magnusson.
Okay, I think I figured out why I like Half Life so much, even though I don't like to play it. The characters are freaking amazing.

I've yet to really try Half Life 1 at all but holy smokes is the Half life 2 series good. If it doesn't capture atmosphere perfectly then it has mood and immersion spot on. I think the starting bit from getting off the train to escaping the city in the very beginning is paced perfectly. The game guides it's player and knows when it's time to run and when it's time to be more relaxed. It offers so many experiences and flsdjfklsdjfkl ******** it's sooo good.

I'm not afraid to call it the best single player experience ever.

I think you mean Ambassador, but I get what you mean. Some people are crazy good with ambassador, but yeah, it's too hard to be /that/ good, especially when you just join another server at another weird ping level.

The thing was tho is it wasn't just an obvious cheater. I guess my meaning for my post is my confusion between what was enhanced and what was player skill.

no, it was a l'etranger, I saw this thing up close. I have an Ambassador of my own and I could tell the difference.
