Mr Snuffleupagus
Dr. Smiles' mule here.
So I see you blocked me.
You could have asked me for my reasoning, but no. That would be silly.
You took the mature route and blocked me like a p***y wimp f*****t. It just shows your maturity and desire for an actual discussion about the game instead of worshipping it like your mother's p***s. Have a lovely day.

Hey I asked for no hardcore criticisms and you do so :0 Go ahead and insult me, that won't affect me anyways.

I would ask you but again...why go hardcore? Why not say something like, "I didn't like the game for this reason:" and bam... there you go :0

I'm a decent way through it. Only 2 areas left.

Here's how I see it:

Sonic Adventure daytime stages with 10 times more speed, mixed in with a dumbed down version of God of War for the night time stages, mix in some Fatal Frame and you got Sonic Unleashed.

Don't get me wrong, I love the game, just seems Sonic Team really loved God of War and even went as fat as copying Kratos's rage meter into Sonic unleashed meter, and the fact you have to button mash on some doors to pry them open or even fill your meter by smashing pots is pushing it.

See Dr. Smiles? This is what I was looking for.

I understand you, Eunta. 3nodding Wait... Sonic Adventure is faster? It doesn't seem like it to me xP

I hear that the 360 and ps3 versions have more stages in it.

True, true... I know Empire City is one of them...but I don't remember what was the other one @_@

No, they're like Sonic Adventure stages with 10 times more speed.

As in, take Sonic Adventure, then add 10 times more speed... Don't know how else to say it.

Sorry. It's just the only phrase that can express my extreme displeasure toward the game. You can block this one if you want, but I'll just be back on another mule. This is probably the last time I'll be posting in this thread too. See ya.
The Wii version sees Sonic about as fast as he was in Sonic and the Secret Rings when maxed out, which was pretty fast, but the Sonic Boost doesn't seem as fast as Speed Break.

The Wii version lacks the 'Adventure Field' option that the PS3 and 360 versions have.

That is what I'm mad about... the "Adventure Field".

You know what else that pisses me off? Why does Sega and Sonic Team have to make each version different? I assume it's another marketing idea xP

Personally I'm happy with a lack of Adventure Fields. I didn't like them in Adventure, I lothed them in Sonic 06. They slowed the game's flow too much IMO.

The Wii and PS2 versions are different becuse they aren't as powerful ast the 360 or PS3, so some cuts were made while managing to retain the core gameplay and cutscenes.

*you have been whitelisted* smile Just read why over at the post xD

Well I'm the type who likes to explore...soo yeah sweatdrop

Even if they are, couldn't they be fair to make them all the same? Especially with the stages that are for the PS3/360?

Exploring's fine, but Sonic games were about speed. Going from high speed stages to roaming around looking for the next stage, followed by performing side quests just to get into said stage, sorta killed the feel of speed. Especially when some of the characters were slow enough already.

The Wii/PS2 version lacks a couple of stages, but apparently has their own unique one added to make up for it. Tho, to be honest, Sega probably could have posted over the 360 game as is. Then again they did have to make room for the motion controls, which are pretty good even for the combat from my experience. Probably a test for the SatBK control system.

But you know Speed Break in SatSR? People are expecting the games to go that fast... How can it be that fast if you can't see where you're going?

Argh... it's tiring to play the werehog stages with the Wii-motes xP I prefer Gamecube or Classic Control.

Speed Break is pretty much Sonic's fullest speed, true supersonic speed , and as such is rather uncontrollable in a 3D game. It seems easy in SatSR, only because the game was on the rails. Sonic Boost is toned down, but essentially the same thing as Speed Break (tho closer to Rush's Super Boost.)

I actually prefer the Wii controls to the GC ones. It just feels easier, and it's nowhere near as bad as SatSR's last fight. My arms were gonna fall off! XD

It seems like Sonic Team have taken the best elements form the recent games and tried to include them in Unleashed. Rush's Super Boost, SatSR's style of automatic movement when using Quick Step (even the name is from a SatSR skill,) Homing Attack's lock on (again, SatSR.)

Exactly but unless Sega keeps going with the 2.5D way like the Day stages in Unleashed, then people would accept it like they are now. People are complaining that the games aren't "Sonic" fast and you said yourself...it's uncontrollable in 3D games unless Sega does it like in Unleashed.

I had surgery on my wrist so I'm not allowed to use Wii-motes in the first place xP but it's painful anyways ! gonk

Sonic Team basically got it right with the 2.5D way. If only they have more day stages in the Wii/PS2 version than the werehog stages... I admit...I prefer the day stages over the werehog now...
