At my school we are having a video game club contest to see which are the best games of their own series. I was just wondering what everybody thinks the best Sonic game is. I think StH3&K, but thats just me.

SA2B was the first Sonic Adventure game I ever got my hands on. I got the Dreamcast now, but I still prefer to play the one for Gamecube. Maybe I'm not pro-gamer enough, or something. xd

So, I'm not crazy? lol

It's almost the same story for me, except SA2B was the second Sonic game I got. I was around three or four when I got Sonic 3D Blast for the PC. Me and my parents were living a somewhat nomadic lifestyle as soon as we moved into the States before because of my father's job, and since we were actually settling down somewhere for the first time, I didn't quite get into video game consoles until I met one of my buddies who had a SNES. Before then, I stuck to PC games, and I was addicted to playing Sonic 3D Blast for a time, and loved it when I saw Tails on the levels where there's Emerald Challege Stages.

Me (at 4): "Oooooh! He's so cute! I wanna pet the wierd cute wittle two-tailed fox!" heart

But, I kinda lost interest in Sonic for a few years; but my fandom revived when I was around 11 when my brother and his friends where playing SA2B at their home (I'm friends with their sister, so I was there, too).

Me (at 11): "Holy crap, is that Sonic the Hedgehog?! eek I wanna play! I wanna play!" scream

So technically, I would blame SA2B for making me the Sonic fan that I am now, because since then, me and my brother were always asking to borrow that game from our friends until we got our own copy, and I spent countless hours trying to look stuff up on the Internet about Sonic (which got me into the Sonic comic published by Archie).

So, that's pretty much how it all started for me. mrgreen

Well what's that got to do with this place? As far as I can recall, Sonic and his buddies have never been in a game called Sonic. They've been in games with the word 'sonic' in them, but nothing just called Sonic. Therefore, you have failed.

SA1 for me. Perfect story, perfect characters (even Big and Amy), and perfect 3D Sonic gameplay. Even till this day, Speed Highway still defines what Sonic is all about.

On the flip-side of life, my 360 fell before the mercy of the Red Ring of Death last week. Luckly I beat Halo 3 before it happend. sweatdrop

I don't know if I liked SA1 or Sonic 3 and Knuckles better. I guess if we were to separate the games by style (2D and 3D) then those would lead their respective categories.

Thanks, it's good to be back here. I'd hesitate to call SA2 a "contender". Chop it down to "The parts where you play as Sonic" and I'd consider that. xd

Hey, it was a joke, and he's obviously never coming back anyways, so does it really matter if I say something that a "nitpicky smart-a**" would say?

I thought of something for Smash Bros. Brawl. Although this is unlikely, I still enjoy thinking about it. If Sonic does in fact get to be a character in Brawl, One SSBB level could be the Olympic Arena for Mario & Sonic at the Olympics. And various Mario and Sonic characters that didn't make the Brawl list of playable characters could should up there and interfere by doing certain events like the shot-put and such. Sure the game hasn't come out yet, but that'd still be a fun little level....
