=-_-= SPOILER WARNING!!!=-_-=
I regert to inform you of a problem. And ironically its up there with Link to the pasts. Its in the first dungeon of the dark world, the one where if you use one of the small keys in the wrong spot, you are stuck forever, never to be able to beat the dungeon, or progress farther for that matter. Well I have found another. much to my chargrin, I was haveing fun. Its the disintigrateing bridge, it reforms if you are sent back by a wisp, but warp back after beating the first guardian, and you will not be able to go over the bridge again, far as I can tell. It does not reform, btw that was an AWESOME design for a boss, weapon and all. Well warp back as soon as you beat him, I have become stuck, and I fear I was not supposed to warp untill further exploration, one of the rare times curiocity overcame me, and its killed my progress. Just a heads up, on otherwise a superb game.
Now for my rateing, compared to all the games I have played, of this series and others.
Gameplay- 9 - battle is fun and fast paced, healing is easy, and item drops are above average. Overworld a bit glitchy, if it were possible, I would sugest the screen move ala Link the the past, rather than the entire world map moveing with you, makes it rather slow and just a bit tedius going overworld. Dungeons are great, and nice apearance overall.
Interesting work on the year later scenario, reminded me of the shift in Final Fantasy 6 where you lost you friends, and had to start hunting for them, after a year had passed. The difference, the clown dies before he can rend the world assunder.
Music- 10 - I like the combanation you used, especially the little piano solo by Liyer at the beginning.
Battle- 7 - A bit unbalanced, healing for enemies is good at the start, but as for the gerudo, rather sad, 300hp and one can deal many times that with one character. Pace is nice, superb even, I feel I make great progress, and not waste time battleing.
Some bosses need a bit of work, cause the damage they deal useing the same attack as others -Shadow dancer for one- is static, the same every time, it might be my armor graduateing in defense to better suits, but it hit even lower def allies for the same damage.
Great work, daruna makes any battle a piece of cake with his goron rage, so keeping him off the lines in Akazoo's castle area made it a challenge.
Plot- 10 (just for the convo between the two villians mentioned below *was on the floor laughing after reading it*) nice, smooth, and light. Not the depth of a ff game, but the twist after the year has passed, SUPERB *gives props* some spelling, a few grammer, but ill leave the "Service" commentary between akazoo and Sulkaris alone, it was a wonderful play on words when one thinks of the inset to a pic of saria, that said lust knows no bounds. I remembered that the moment I read the commentary between those two, and just had to smile and let out a nice, long, hysterical laugh. Truely one of the few priceless comments I would wish to remember. xd :
Dungeons- 7- Great art, nice and linear, sometimes a bit tricky, but thats a given for a dungeon, almost too simple at times, and some may call them too short. But they were rendered nicely, and the graphics were not unpleaseing to the eye.
Overall at this point- 8 - Aside from the brick wall I hit *rubs face* the game is a work of art, enemies are unique, and great twists around every bend.
Before you set any of this to heart, know I am compareing this to games that companies make, that have a legion of artists and programmers. You and your band have done a remarkable job of pulling this off. Sure with better tools and more time the game can be made smoother, neater, and more streamlined, art and otherwise, but with what you had, you did a fantastic job. *dispences props once more*
