It took me a while to get into it, but now I'm loving it. Maybe you started with the wrong clan? You shouldn't do Nosferatu or Malkavan on your first playtrough.
I found the story to be really interesting later and even better once you get to move away from Santa Monica

It took me a while to get into it, but now I'm loving it. Maybe you started with the wrong clan? You shouldn't do Nosferatu or Malkavan on your first playtrough.

I was playing Lux. I was at the blue buff on the left side of the map and I was watching a few of my teammates fight enemies on the opposite side. I started heading in their direction, and continued watching. I failed to notice I was being attacked by Corki and Cho'Gath who were in my side of the jungle. When I noticed, it was too late. ):

I just ignored every other skill except for the blood magic, it lets you do pretty nifty things. I hope you like it more if you try it again.

Dunmer, almost always. I'm going for a Spell Blade build. One handed with Destruction/Conjuration/Restoration.
