Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: When you pull the giant ship from the sky to the ground using the force.
All it was was button sequence...and very lousy one at that.

An old game on the sega genesis called 'landstalker' Anyways, theres a mini game you can play at the main town in the middle of the map (beleive it was called mercter') There was a old guy who has you pay him to train you but the game is, he transform into a monster and you have to defeat him but the hard part is that you only have one life so if you get hit, its game over for the minigame. Anyways, the further you go, the more gold you make but most of the time, you will defeat him (makes a screaming noise) but he will most of the time move up and attack even though hes defeated and hit you. game over stare . I think that was the only cheapest moment i had so far.

Any ******** time you're level grinding and you get killed by a critical hit before you save, losing 2+ hours in the process.

Everybody wants to show their skills!
I would have to go with starfox adventures. Aside from being a dumb game you don't even get to fight the guy they build up to be the main boss! He gets ripped away, and it turns out to be Andross yet again. How are you just going to go from fighting dinosaurs to having the final battle being in space? Lame. The entire game was a waste of my time.

I hate to necro the thread, but I do not remember that at all. Are you sure you're thinking of DKC2?
It's not really a necro if it's 5 days old, you're fine.

And also, Megaman Juno in MM Legends. If you don't figure out an equally cheap way to beat him, you get destroyed almost immediately.
One word: Malboro

Screwing Final Fantasy players since 1988.
a really old game called Shadow Dancer. For anyone who hasn't played it, it's a ninja game like the old shinobi games, in fact, i think it's the first shinobi game, not sure. Anyway, don't have a life bar because YOU DIE IN 1 HIT THROUGHT THE ENTIRE GAME and they still threw a boss in it.
Ondores Lies
Mine would have to be Knights of the Old Republic, maybe it's not the cheapest but right now it's a highlighted moment.

The Jedi's in that game are CHEAP. And it doesnt help that the battle system in general seemed to be designed by some 12 year old kid. I find it incredibly stupid that the enemies can come in an endless flow ( at the end of the game ) while you're restricted to your horribly slow Force Gauge, which if you're lucky to have not died on the first wave of Jedi attacks, you're gonna die the next round. The Jedi's basically make you WORTHLESS with their Choke. The second they appear on screen, someone is choked and is basically worthless to you for the rest of the battle, making you near-dead. And it doesn't help that the Light Side Jedi powers are so weak.

The battle system is horrible. You take so long to preform at attack, if you're trying to target something over a Mine--- you basically can't, if you accidently preform an attack you pretty much CANT turn around and since a lot of times it's gonna be 10 vs 3, you're gonna kill yourself.
never had that problem.... its just how you build your character that ll make you more "immune" to the force

Dragon Quest IV.
Got to Chapter V and started out on my journey... First couple fights go fine, I gain a level or two... then I get put against three Firespirits. For those that don't know, Firespirits dodge. A lot. It's almost impossible to hit them with physical attacks, and spells are highly suggested. There's also a random chance on attacking that the Firespirit will split into two. I didn't even live that long.
Their first turn? They each cast one of their spells, hitting me for a grand total of over 35 HP. My max HP? Around 30.

Unavoidable death. Reload saved game, regain levels...

The "Jack Battle" in the original Fable. Unless you have the abilities to slow down time and increase your strength with Berzerk, and have massive amounts of Health and Mana potions as well as a good bow or the ability to cast lightning, you will die.
max mana shield helps alot too
