When your fighting someone in brawl who plays sonic. You both have one life he on the other hand has 120% damage and you only need to get one hit off to finish him. You have 3% damage, odds are in your favor right? Wrong. Suddenly a final smash orb comes along and low and behold sonic gets it....GAME OVER.

things like this are always vexing. There should be ways to play competitively with no items like this...

The "Jack Battle" in the original Fable. Unless you have the abilities to slow down time and increase your strength with Berzerk, and have massive amounts of Health and Mana potions as well as a good bow or the ability to cast lightning, you will die.

The final boss in SO3. He uses his strongest attack over and over and over and over and over again, which takes up the whole field and is virtually unavoidable.

Same goes with Gabriel and his dragons attack, And Lenneth with that ethereal blast-like skill.

Haha. I love how some of those Arcade games make it so obvious that they're cheap.

I remember playing Gauntlet: Legends in the Arcade and they have it so your life drains very fast, and the only way to get life back is to find food or insert more coins.
