The Cao family was one of the most respected families in China during that time period. Just because the imbecile creators of the English language decided to make a boving have the same pronounced name doesn't mean the name of Cao Pi is foolish. It means our language is full of stupid translations that we are at fault for.

If you hate the English language so much, why don't you drop it for a better language?

This isnt from a game, but ChiChi from DBZ is just weird. I can't even say it out loud because it slang for boobies in Spanish.

And most names in any Final Fantasy game are wierd. Tidus, how the heck do you even pronounce it?

The name is not weird. It is a rather common name for Chinese people. Just like a lot of western people are named John or Kate; and latino people named Jose or Roberto. It's called culture.

I always knew Butz as Bartz. O_o I only played the re-released PS1 version of FF5 though, so I'm assuming he had stupider names in earlier releases, right? xd

Oh, and my vote goes to the main character from Landstalker (oooold Megadrive/Genesis game). The hero of the game, treasure hunter extrodinaire and general a**-kicking sarcastic swordsman is called... NIGEL. Nigel. Geez. If any of you are called Nigel, no offense. Besides, have YOU ever seen a Nigel waving a sword around and travelling the world with his fairy companion? I THINK NOT! >_>

I knew him as Butz from a Fan Translated ROM, but he was called Bartz in the GBA version, so I started calling him Bartz.

You might be right, but I think they were going more for this kind of definition: a sudden violent wind often with rain or snow. That sounds more video game-esque? to me.
