I'm a femalr gamer and no I really don't think violent games should be banned, basically it should be the parent themself that should be aware of what their child plays, I mean come on, I've seen a five year old kid who was playing Manhunt, I mean that's kind of a shocker. and also it does vary on the kid themself, it depends if it has a mental impact. I remember hearing a story on the news where some kid brought a gun to school and shot someone thinking that "they would get back up, like in the game" I mean what the hell? The kid should know that it's just pure fiction!

I work at a gamestore. We ID kids that come in to buy M rated games. If their parent comes in with them, we warn them of the content, and if they approve, well, whatever.

I say no. Don't ruin s**t for the people mature enough to play them because you're a bad parent.

No. If games rated M were banned, all I'd have left to play are the Zelda, KH, and GH/ Rock Band series. All that would be lost in a sea of TERRIBLE Disney games based off of movies. Plus, there's a certain appeal to watching an aliens' brains splatter against a wall as you remove their nose with a sniper. And it's the parents' fault for not realizing their kid's loco if the kid goes on a shooting spree.
