I simply do not approve of some of the weapon changes. Of all the characters they're changing, none of them really NEEDED it. That, and Lu Xun looks like a One Man Gay Parade... gah. Scarey.

Slightly off topic, but there's an anime airing now in Japan that pretty much can be summed up as "Lu Xun: One Man Gay Parade." Koutetsu Sangokushi is a terrible, terrible anime, but for some reason I love it.

Back on topic, I think I can ride the joy of my shiny new Gaian Lu Bu hat until Orochi comes out. Mmm, fangirl high. Usually I'm more of a SW fangirl, but I've been on a Three Kingdoms kick lately.

I simply do not approve of some of the weapon changes. Of all the characters they're changing, none of them really NEEDED it. That, and Lu Xun looks like a One Man Gay Parade... gah. Scarey.

I am really not liking Lu Bu's pinwheel of death, or whatever the hell they want to call the abomination that is replacing his Sky Scorcher.

I thought Lu Xun's pink outfit in DW4 was a sign of things to come. Although I totally dig the wings on Zhang He.

DW6 is bound to attract a range of opinions, basically what has simply been patched from DW2 > DW5 is now really getting an overhaul.

It's of course going to be DW Hack n' Slash to the core, but movesets; character models; new weapons and a range of other things are changing.

I guess Koei are sick of getting the "same old, same old..." style reviews time and time again. I for one don't mind the weapon changes, SSX would be great with a bow; Liu Bei with two swords which seems likely is a perfect addition. Dian Wei too now with a new weapon I think is great, I guess because I didn't like what he offered in the past - but still. I'm glad they are trying something different this time around - and like you said `Billy. This would well be the DW6 to PS3 like DW2 to PS2...the comparisons can be drawn. DW2 was an entire remake on the original DW, and now DW6 is a remake of the what will eventually be the 'old' DW style.

Here's hoping SSX's bow is used more like a bow than Inahime's is. If the character has a bow as a primary weapon I want to attack by firing arrows, not by swinging it like a staff.

I've liked most of the changes the DW series has undergone. Albeit I preferred weapons to have elements on them rather than the use of orbs. When orbs were made the norm I preferred them to be random finds rather than unique.

I thought the weapon system in DW4 was an abomination, so glad it didn't last long.

The biggest change I would like to see though, useful allies. Don't make the player do all the work. We should not have to rush to the aid of everyone, many of them are supposed to be fairly good on their own well let them be. Hell allow them to even complete objectives sometimes.

Amen to that, I'm sick of how my allies are nothing short of terrible and struggle to reach 50 KO's, while the player ends up with near 1,000 of them and end up doing it all on your own.

Only in Empires are they barely useful, in terms of telling them to sit back and defend until you start to dominate by removing some bases and most/all officers - only then have I found allies able to actually do something for me...

SSX with a bow, it would work like Ina I guess. Although more shooting and less bow slashing would indeed be nice like `billy suggested.

I agree completely, and the new weapons are a step in the right direction.

I certainly hope they don't make SSX anything like Ina. She would be better like Hornet from DK (where all attacks were shooting arrows).

If he gets a weapon change, as long as it's either kick-a** awesome or makes some sense (meaning, not a freakin' toy or something lame-o), I will accept it. I will miss his White Tiger (WHICH IS A HALBERD, NOT A GLAIVE OR WHATEVER THE HELL THEY CALL IT), but yes, a well-needed change is needed.

I don't see why people think he's boring; he's excellent for one-on-ones and he can at least take a few hits. Personality wise, Dalan Norris (DW5 VA) didn't help, but at least they're finally acknowledging him going from man of pure strength to being equaled out. Just please, Koei... I do not mind Dalan Norris, just... tell him to stop being so dead pan!

*bricks Bofu again, just for giggles* I missed making a fuss about Lu Meng. XD And yes, Bofu, Lu Xun has one single, lame-a** sword. Meh. Maybe if his sword was like that guy's in Advent Children and had a double blade on it, or something... oh well. I'm slowly falling out of love with the little brat the more and more I see him.'
