I like how it looks so far, and downloaded the game. Okay was having trouble with connections, but got that all situated. I am still new to the game so if anyone could provide any pointers or helpful tips I'd appreciate it.

No I don't want items, just some advice or preferably some people to play with in-game. Thinking I'm going to rock the Racoon. 3nodding

Well, I don't know much about Raccoons offhand (no experience with them...) but I can offer the best advice I've got: www.mytrickster.net <--this site is awesome. Closest thing to a "hidden-street" or "mapletip", if you play MapleStory. Their wiki is not complete nor fully integrated... but damned good.
So, you can use this site to find "guides" on other folks idea of a good build, good stat growth and good skills sets for whatever. You can also look up a little more detail than the game gives you about what exactly each stat means, how it affects your character's attacks, damage, HP/MP, as well as how each skill is affected by certain stats (like StoneStrike for sense-types being powered up by "DA" instead of the "AP" one would think for a physical attack).

I also wanted to say, I admire that you ask for help, but specifically *not* items. biggrin I think that's awesome! I'm all for folks who want to play a game *for* themselves even if they don't want to play *by* themselves.
I haven't been on much lately... but with a friend newly making a character, I may be on more often. Feel free to add "KittySue" (my messed up Fox, and main character). I usually play on Ruby (but since there's only one server, and Ruby/Pearl are only channels, I can be elsewhere).

Once you get to 80... it gets so.. slow. XD I've been camping at Nora's lately and accidently vended the nora sprays at 35k instead of at 3.5k. crying ; It was right before i nappeed cause of the headache i was getting...

Now I'm at a loss as to WHERE to get my nice EQs. XD Been trying to see if I can buy Refined swords or nicely comped Hats, lik 200+ DP Soft Hats...

Yar 91. I may try to solo Captain Skull when my Racoon friend comes back. She helped me get my first Skull seal.

Ha. If you think leveling at 80 is tough, try 190. A 2.5 Party at Path To Black Swamp is awesome exp at that level. And if you get bored of straight grinding, you have monster quests! Like the Snail Quest! I miss monster quests. The only Base Exp. Monster Quest I can do now is Great Coolem, and my attacks heal them! Freaking Physical Protection/1470DP.

Well this sucks...
First I get a friend who was having trouble with MapleStory to start a character on my laptop (he's got big hands... not very condusive to playing a keyboard based game) and he LOVED it... but his computer won't let him connect. It'll boot up and take him to the login screen, but when he tries to login it gives an error and completely crashes.
We've reported it... and 3-4 patches later, still same problem.

Now I have another friend (finally fed up with Maple hackers and horrid manners) trying it out. Downloaded, installed, logged in fine. She finished the tutorial without a problem... but now she has what I see in the Trciskter forums, a portal bug. Basically, if she goes thru a portal the game hangs then disconnects. (makes monster quests pretty much impossible) Needless to say, she's even more frustrated...

We spent the morning trying to find another game to play...
NOSTale seems to have disappeared
Fairyland's English site is down
DragonGem is still renovating
...and about six others that we wanted to check out had "issues"

But after digging through my links, I found that GO (Ghost Online) has gotten a few more patches and as long as you used IE instead of FireFox, the website came up fine... yay.
Then she had to re-register because her initial user name/password didn't work...
Then we both suffered a strange random DC on the monster maps...
Whaaaaaa!

We really want to get back to Trickster! Anyone know any more about this Portal Bug?
She just reformatted her whole computer hoping that would fix it (since she liked Trickster that much!)... but if it doesn't, I'm up for any other suggestions or comments on what might be the issue with her computer (and not mine) and what, if anything, might be done...
Hopefully another server check and patch soon... since I saw at least a dozen other folks in the bug forum with the same problem...

OMG! You got the portal bug too? I have it...and I tried reinstalling Trickster on my computer, but what happened is that when I reinstalled it you also have to reinstall the patch. Well I did reinstall the patch and placed it in the trickster folder like I am supposed too and unzipped the file and then it says the game will work, yet unfortunantely, when I tried uploading trrickster again it STILL didn't work. I hate it....ut says something like the server and patch don't match or some crap

OMG! You got the portal bug too? I have it...and I tried reinstalling Trickster on my computer, but what happened is that when I reinstalled it you also have to reinstall the patch. Well I did reinstall the patch and placed it in the trickster folder like I am supposed too and unzipped the file and then it says the game will work, yet unfortunantely, when I tried uploading trrickster again it STILL didn't work. Uh-oh...
I only talked to her after she reformatted... she hadn't re-installed yet. I hope her issues don't get worse, like it seems yours did!

I think all the games I've played online lately have been trying to patch for Vista compatibility or soemthing and mos tof them have been creting more bugs than they're fixing before it settles back down. I hope NTreev is fast in this one... because MS is especially frustrating during an event (which this one is supposed to last all month)... and I had NO luck finding carnations for my mother in GO...

Note: *my* Trickster appears to work fine... maybe they need to keep a rollback version somewhere (someone here want to volunteer? I'm damned forgetful) so you can patch from that OR download fresh.

You ought to get it automatically if you have "IceBoy" and "IceGirl" in your storage/bank/backpack together for a certain amount of time. rofl

Galders drop from monsters. The higher leveled they are, the more they drop. xd So slaughter away.

And you can NPC the items that monsters drop, and the equips and stuff you drill up. Lots of people also vend their better (valuable) equips to other players.
