What's 4D mode?

Wow, I'm extra stupid today...

It's another difficulty setting available, Universe & 4D are unlockable by gaining Battle Trophies.

Earth = Easy
Galaxy = Normal
Universe = Hard (25% BT's)
4D = Very Hard (65% BT's)

I'm doing 4D atm, I just got the Sacred Orb to let me into Firewall, but it's so bloody hard. I'm about lv 55; have weapons like Veinslay, Laser Weapon with 5 x Ring of Eruditions and I'm still struggling. >.>

The ultimate challenge in battles I guess.
