Yeah both times, though don't make boots of prowess often, I often use him as bait since he has large hp and can easily dodge attacks than adray or anybody else... well on my experience though...

My Albel is incredibly fragile sad

Peppita is probably the most underrated in the game, so many write her off quickly just because she initially comes accross really annoying, but you put that aside damn she can kick some a** in battle. Frozen Daggers is a life saver at times on 4D, and her dancing techniques, like Panic Dance are far more valuable then you would initially expect.

My other top optional is Nel, again Ice Daggers early is pretty much broken. You can make a mockery of "Get 'em Twin Beast" with it to collect heaps of exp early on disk 2. Whirlwind if used well can be increadibly deadly, then link it with a close range Stun or Increase HP/MP damage can come up with amazing results.

Albel, is just overrated. Roger, he ain't bad but I find lacks the ability to attack flying enemies, just too power based for my liking. I mean, you have Cliff & Maria for power, so he ain't needed.

i like the Star Ocean games they are pretty awsome to me

i have Star Ocean 3 well it was because me and my brother saw it and we both became interested

i like Fayt, Cliff is funny too but his english voice actor reminds me of someone but well it does suit him and Nel but thats because i am in the third planet the one thats like midevil europe

as for Nel well she is a good fighter not bad either she does have alot of magic power too but i don't know i haven't beaten the game yet so i don't know if it will change

Good point... But...

It all ends up on the player whether which character to use, I use Abel because I have a luxury to, Nel on the other hand is both good at evasion and knocking foes easily doing damage and dodge, Pepita, being underrated doesn't get notice but most of her skills are pretty nuch at par with those of Fayt and Nel. Roger is only for ground based opponents who has a large amount of HP the darn runt can knock off tons of HP per attack but his size and limit reach are a problem....

Ahh the Roger support is out, good to see. I don't think he is necessarily bad, I mean I'd rate guys like Adray & Albel lower then him for example, he just doesn't suit my style and having to choose two of those four characters.

If I could swap Roger with Adray I'd probably do it, but I don't get that option. sweatdrop

Usually I use Nel, Maria, and Fayt as the characters I control.
Nel's Ice Daggers is definitely broken, even more so against machines.
Up close I'd chain Shadow Wave with Mirror Slice.
Done correctly Nel will say "Shadow Mirror Slice"

Yay Roger fans! As Fayt said good to see the Roger support out.

I currently don't have an active Roger file (recently finished my Nel/Adray/Roger and my Peppita, Roger, Sophia/Mirage files and I did Peppita/Fayt/Roger ages ago) sad

I'll need to start another one! - I'm thinking 4-D Maria, Albel and Roger surprised

Points I'd like to address -

Fayt - You are so right! Peppita definitely has a lot more to offer than people might realise. You mentioned Frozen Daggers and Panic Dance and that's awesme because although I focused on her big hit skills like Power Dance, Faerie Friend, counters and Dream Hammer she also has others skills like the ones you mentioned and which I do like to use from time to time. Especially in areas where the enemies are water weak and/or susceptible to chaos. Then there is Instanto Blast which is another good range option for her like Frozen Daggers, especially on FAM where it's a great MP damage option thanks to it's unlimited range from any range razz Then there is Kaboom which is good for knocking enemies out of attacks and is also a solid damage dealer before Faerie Friend/Dream Hammer - and even after that on some enemies i.e large bodied ones where Kaboom can land plenty of hits.

Not to mention that above over and all Peppita is lots of fun! biggrin Peppita - Charge! *does the bum rush and juggles* xD

That's what I really like about Peppita (and Nel) the versatily and variety. They both have so much to offer so it's possible to be always changing their skill sets around ... so it's never boring! smile

Just died again in the MoT, F4. Maybe I should replace Cliff with Adray for a decent stunlocker(Stone Rain) for example..... It ridiculous that Energy Burst keeps getting parried. Other than that, I'll have to see what status change efects are avialable at the time. Chaos could help a bunch.

Yeah I think Adray could be a better choice than Cliff (funny to say that lol ) - at least in this instance because Cliff is pretty much all short range melee before Max Shockwave and fighting the wisps with melees is ... not fun razz

Do you have Roger? Whirling Heat and Land Mines can cause chaos irrc.

Edit - Yeah - Whirling Heat, Land Mines, L8 Titan Fist, Aura Wall and Aiming Device are options you have for chaos right now.

Nel also sometimes randomly confuses the enemy for me ... but hell if I know what causes it.

Haha, they are just discussing far to many skill setups at once. xd

Out of them I just spam the hell out of Aiming Device, it's so simple, yet so awesomely effective when you give Maria decent MP Regeneration, Berserk and link it to both Long range abilities to cancel the hell out of it.

Needless to say that was one of my most common attacks I used on my 4D file.
