I got mine launch date, and I knew that games would come out fir it eventually. I'm also an ambassador.

I dont know what you were thinking when you sold it for less than half price. But if you really feel you want one, maybe get one, but wait until more 'specialization' ones, like the recent LoZ 3ds.

I'd rather just wait till the 2nd version of the 3ds comes.

Theres always that....

Id be able to brag about the extended battery life, two joysticks and two shoulder buttons and two triggers, also lighter, and a bigger screen, and a glass bottom touchscreen.

Yyyyeah but then you'd have double the scratches from the circle pads on your top screen, the two shoulder buttons would make it bulky and a glass screen would be prone to break easier....

i have an ipod touch that doesn't have a single scratch on the front or back.

I plan to, at some point buy a used 3ds from either craigslist, ebay or gamestop.
I might have lost a lot of cash, but it was worth it just to learn the lesson and be one of the first people in my area to play it, right? I look on the bright side of things biggrin

And as for a new 3ds, it isn't gnna happen anytime soon with the new WiiU handheld coming out...

Id rather buy a used one and save money. I know it was a dumb move selling the 3ds, but at the time it was just sitting there gathering dust... and I sold it to a dad that was getting it for his son because he ran over the kids bike. I helped him out biggrin

I bought my 3DS and although it's collecting dust somewhere (I really have no idea where I've put it) I'm still going to continue to hold onto it. Not because I'm one of those people who sits there anxiously waiting for new and good games to come out, but because if I wanna play something on a long journey, at least I will have something.

As for if you wanna buy a new one or not, that's up to you. I'm really not a huge fan of handheld consoles so I don't play on my 3DS or anything much at all anyway. I guess it depends how often you're gonna use it or if you really want the new games.

Yeah. I liked the depth for SF4, but it wasn't the best. OoT is a rerelease, but the graphics are really improved, and the visual depth in the game is just amazing.

Alright, thanks for the info. Any other 3ds games that you'd recommend? Im not really in the nintendo loop much. I just started getting back into Nintendo consoles; just got a wii again lol

I don't have much money, as I'm out of a job, so I don't have many games. The only other one I have is Devil Survivor: Overclocked. It barely uses 3D as it takes place on the bottom screen, and is mostly just a port of the original. But it's well worth it's money, and is a great JRPG.

Huh, I've never even heard of the original. What system was it for?

It was for the DS. Which, if you haven't played it getting the 3DS version is way better, as it includes voice acting, improved graphics (for the 3DS), and extra content.
I'd say it was one of the best games of 2009.

No it was 2 years of a gap, and nintendo only made the light because it got terrible feedback about the design from everyone. People were finally happy with the light- and the only made the DSi to combat apple. This time nintendo really has no reason to rush a revision, none. I dont expect them to release a 3DS-light till after 2013- that seems more reasonable than anything.

The 3DS really doesnt need a light version; Its already almost microscopic..
It needs an XL! With the large-screened Sony Vita coming out, Nintendo will need to combat it with an even beefier big screen with bigger 3D twisted

I would also like to point out that of course it went down in price over time most gaming systems, especially hand held. Anyways! moving on I'd say wait until there are at least 5 or 6 tittles you want to play and then perhaps reinvest into the 3DS. I don't mean to come across as being rude but it sounds like you were being impatient overall, but then again it is your money. '^'

Yeah patience hasn't always been my strong point, and it didnt help that the 3ds had an awful launch line-up.
And I can easily think of 6 titles that Id want to buy.

battery isnt something i think they ultimately care about right now, im sure the next will have one thats better, but on a scale of 1-10 if its more than likely a 6 or lower, people arent going to die any time soon. The screen grease issue, while annoying is somewhat avoidable, by cleaning the bottom part before u close it- and to not put pressure on it when closed. Nintendo already said they dont recognize it as a "fault" since its avoidable, and it only happens when you do what the manual says not to do *yes its literally in there*. Yet people complain.
