See, people still don't quite get that the point of an online shooter is to win using tactics that work. And if that means sitting in a corner with a shotgun in a well-traveled corridor for the entire match, lobbing grenades across the map, or hogging the power weapons, guess what I'm going to do?
That's why it annoys me when my brothers complain about "try-hards", the guys who will do anything short of actual cheating (hacks, bots, glitch exploitation, boosting, etc) to win the match. Because in their mind, there's some sort of honor system in the game that requires you to NOT use those cheap, highly effective tactics that can and regularly do take down pro players- if I had a nickel for every time I had some high-level "pro" with a high K/D rage at me because I spent the match lobbing grenades at him, EVEN IF HE STILL WON THE MATCH, I'd be able to pay for the gaming rig I want to build. And if you DO use said tactics, you must suck at the game.
Even when the person telling you that you suck has a 4/16 ratio in the match because he's been trying to quick-scope you the entire time.
