din's fire turns sand to glass.
bomb blows glass to bits.
sword kills gaara.
not to mention, even if gaara killed link, he's got a fairy in a bottle, baby-*shot*
No. Sand takes hours at high temperature to melt and turn to glass. I suppose you haven't taken eighth grade science (or was is high school physics? Either way...).
If the glass bit is untrue, then the bomb it is also untrue.
Yes... a sword could kill Gaara.
Yeah, rethink your argument.
better idea:
both naruto and link live in fantasy worlds, where many impossible things happen (controlling sand? magic fairies?)
that said, it's totally possible for exaggerated representations of real world happenings to happen. ie: rapid glass making (hey it, happened in SPider-Man 3...another fantasy setting)
that said-
it could still happen, especially considering it's Din's fire, which has habit of flash frying just about any baddy in range.
if you wish to argue with science, don't do it in a battle where one character has magic sand, and the other can create magic force fields and shoot laser beams out of his sword.
Even better idea:
Realize that Gaara's sand isn't really magic. Its powered by Chakra, which is determined to NOT be magic.
Secondly, when you can use din's fire, and actually see the fire destroy enemies in a different way, then we'll talk.
Thirdly, if you want to use examples, use examples from the same universe, ie "Link's such and such has been shown to do this", this means no Spider-man, mmkay?
oh goody a fanboy argument! I've never been in one of these before! *pointin at self as well)
first off: using spider-man was simply showing that exagerated representations of real-world happening is possible in a fantasy world. should be obvious...but I wanted to cover all my bases.
secondly: magic/chakra, both are exhaustible, meaning it really comes down to who can hold their magic/chakra the longest, an impossible comparison. (unless you went by whatever video game might have had a chakra bar for gaara, and compared it to link's magic meter. I can't think of such a game.)
also, I was using magic as a general adjective. I apologize if doing so was inapropriate for the argument or something.
finally, as far as din's fire goes, we saw it in an N64 game. I'll admit I took some creative liberties with it, but considering how powerful it was in OoT, it's not a totally unfair assumption, IMHO.
besides, if you wished to use only the ingame strength of Link's dinfire, we'd be moving the argument to the ingame realm, where sand coffin does about 3/4 life bar damage, and is easily avoided, and sand shield is easily penetrated by throws.
