Personally, the Hive are my favorite.
They seemed coolest to me probably because they seemed to be a religious group.
(Chosen, Hallowed, Temple=religion)
Religions always fascinate me.

However the Vex are a close second, and gameplay-wise they actually beat the Hive.
Vex ruins are really cool, and the fact that
they turn planets into machines is pretty cool. (it stinks that we don't go to Mercury, though..)

That they arrive in a huge cloud (rather than ship) was also cool.

The Fallen, for me, take third, though gameplay-wise, they might actually be second.
It's hard to say whether the Hive or Fallen are funner to fight..
Anyhow they more take third out of default. Because.

I HATE the Cabal. In both gameplay and concept they take last.
The only time they ever kill me is when they either launch 1,000 rockets at me, or one of their ships is hanging around for an hour, blasting me.
Their concept could have been cool, but the only cool moment they had was
when you're trying to restore the Gate Lord's eye, and activate the Vex tower thing, destroying the Cabal equipment on it.

i.e. They were underdeveloped, and too easy. (only killing you in cheap ways)

I guess Hive. They seemed the most diverse looking to me... but the game did little in the way of making the different enemies to see unique. They are all one entity to me right now... until I have to pay extra to find out more, I guess. If we will even be given that. rolleyes

I did kinda like the Vex... however:
The last "boss" - or the three Vex fights at the end, at least... were so repetitive. I honestly didn't think this was the end... I was so disappointing.

Despite the disappointment I have I do actually really enjoy the game so please do not think I came to hate on the game.

Hm.. They all seemed different to me.
The Fallen had their Stealth Vandals, which were their unique enemy.
The Hive had their Wizards, Ogres and their Thralls, as their unique.
The Vex had Hydras and Cyclopses. (mostly Hydras)
The Cabal had the shield guys.

Still, I do get your point.
Dreg/basic Vandal=Acolyte=Goblin=Psion
Sniper Vandal=(no Hive)=Hobgoblin=(Cabal?)
Captain=Knight=Minotaur=Centurion
Etc.

What did kinda disappoint me is the Walker is the only unique boss.
All the rest were either giant Captains, Knights, Ogres, Minotaur or Colossus.
(I haven't played the VoG if they added one)
Furthermore the Walker was only fought once, outside of patrol.
Even the last triple-boss fight were just three big Minotaurs.
(though, they were likely Gate Lords, which was still just a big Minotaur)
I also didn't really understand why the blob died from that, either..

I like the Fallen.

. . .
Er.. Any particular reason why?
I like the vex.

Hyper intelligent robots who can't explain what they found so they worship it is really scary.

Scary because if they can't explain it, What possibly could? And the fact that the time travel and exist in the future could also mean we can't beat them or they win.

Plus there really really cute, Headless goblins? Utter chaos and hilarity.

And those noises...

That concepts actually kind of similar to what people do for the Traveler..

Anyhow in the end time travel probably does mean they win.
..Except for the problem that it seems extremely limited.
We aren't sure the extent they can travel, so it makes it a little hard to know how much of an advantage that is.

I don't see how they're cute, but I do like how they look, and sound.

I'll go with the Hive because they actually have a bit of lore to them without having to read the grimoire cards, unlike the other factions (and the rest of the game). There's the World's Grave, the siphon witches, the shard of the Traveler and that ritual, the Sword and Temple of Crota, and the Shrine of Oryx.

But my favorite faction to fight would have to be the Cabal. The music on Mars definitely sets the mood. I do hate those stupid colossi though.

Hm.. Well I don't think that's a good reason, but I guess it's as good a reason as any.

Hm.. I forgot about the Grimoire cards.
But yeah, I never realized that.
The Vex had a little bit.. Mainly when your Ghost was exteacting data about them from the computer.
But that was very little.

Hm.. Well, to each their own.
I always thought the Cabal were too pathetically easy.

Yeah, the Vex had a bit too. Like how they turned Mercury into a machine during the collapse, how they're some sort of biological machine race, and the whole thing with the Black Garden. They both definitely have more than the Cabal and Fallen.

Ahaha well why do you think I like fighting them? They're pretty damn easy, aside from colossi and phalanxes with the angry modifier.
