Urk, I hate playing RPG's on the PS2. It takes too long for the game to load and all that rot. I'm used to the fast load times of the Xbox and Gamecube.

Eh? rpg's are usually pretty freakin huge..but thats not what the problem..
Well, it also depends on who made the game. alot of load time goes into the programming. The only reason the xbox is faster is because of the built-in hard drive and gamecube has a disc that don't hold as much info, so it has no excuse to be slow. also consider that is PS2 is older then either of its competitors, so technological advances might have pushed loadtimes faster, aswell.

I hate to have to wait for a game to load it's own intro after the game has started up. Or rather, see a loading screen before anything else. That's what Tales of Legendia does to you. Tales of Symphonia loads in the snap of a finger when put in.

Isnt Tales of Legendia a PS2 game and the PS2 is a weaker console and most PS2 games have loading screen and Nintendo is famous for not having loading screens in there games.

I want to know why Namco went with Sony this time around, especially when they did so amazingly well with Symphonia on the gamecube. It doesn't make sense to me.

Well, Celuden's right. No offense intended to any mods (as I have the highest respect for them, having to put up with citizens such as I), but on topic is not what got the previous console wars to 3000+ pages. Were every post on topic, then the thread would've been down to less than half of that, I'm sure. And nobody that I know of got warned for it.

I considered the console wars a place to hang out, generally, and discuss console wars whenever it came up. It was a hangout for those interested in the console wars and a console wars thread as well, not just a strict console wars OR ELSE thread.

This makes me sad.

They're remaking the first Tales game for the GBA, then there is a Tales game coming out next month on the DS in Japan. See? I think Nintendo is the superior console for the series.

Well its been on the Nintendo longer in Japan. But like I said its all about the money and Sonys PS2 is more populer in Japan and in the US and Europe.So it would make perfect sense for Namco to go to sony with there Tales of series and it introduces alot of RPG fans to the Tales of games which I like.
