God, I hope so, too. Considering the fact that Oberyn is a Martell and Loras a Tyrell, that makes them to be sworn enemies, so the only "something" they'll be doing is killing each other.

Uuuuuuh Oberyn's sworn enimies were the Lannisters I thought? Considering what they did to his sister and her children and all? They are the only one's he's seemed to be upset at. And he was flirting with Loras at the wedding. neutral

Well, they're not sworn enemies, but the Tyrells hate the Martells because Oberyn made Willas Tyrell, Loras and Margeary's eldest brother, a cripple in a tournament. He doesn't seem to exist in the show, though.

I suspect the writers for Game of Thrones were like, "How can we make Oberyn MORE sexy?" well, in the previous scene where Tywin and Oberyn have a 'discussion' originally took place at a meal instead of a whore house. Not that I'm complaining, even that male escort had a cute butt and I'm straight. (I swear)

But there are little subtle nods the actors placed to nod to the book readers. I still liked the scene because of how well the actors profess their characters' respective sense of finesse.
