thx for the suggestion - its one I actually didnt try! whoo - now I get to go back and see if it layers with the other stuff. I am almost resigned to having to use the blue scarf/cape in gogh reed. neither of them are the right color but at this point I have just about everything else.

hi guys, I'm trying to do a cosplay on a mule and I can't find just a straight blue cape that hangs down the back. no white edges like royal cloak, cant cover the chest like some of the coats in enchanted book, I have looked at every single mc and ei and all capes, cloaks, shawls, scarves I can think of. grrr. any ideas?

Dazed, how about Mythrill Armor? See the cape equipped on me? It doesn't cover the chest but covers the mouth though.

thx for the recommendation Ramius but the mythrill cape doesnt show up under the demonic wind which I've decided is essential to the costume. I'll use the gogh reed cape - it doesn't hang straight and its not the right color but it shows up and I think thats key. if I didn't need blue so bad, there are some really wonderful black choices.

I'm thinking of buying Masquerade for my paladin's face as well as keeping it for the supernova earrings for my mule Athena. Do you think the guy model's face go well with my avi? It seems to be a little too big and it needs my Mythrill cape to cover the mouth & chins to compensate for that.

i've had to reconsider my buying strategies lately - especially considering what it takes to do a cosplay. but it was really a lot of fun to work on this!

I agree. Buying items for cosplay can be costly, even in real life. In Asia, there's a anime cosply fever going on and teenns are willing to spend thpusands of bucks to buy or make their own costumes and props.

My next buy is for Ramius' and Athena's head. Something like a circlet, tiara or something along the line. I'm considering Future Lady Soldier Gari and Future Lady Soldier Sake for their tiaras - 1 blue, 1 red.

yeah, that same fever is in America too. I have lots of friends who live and die for anime conventions - but cosplay other conventions too - scifi and fantasy are really big here.

There are cosplay conventions in Singapore too, but not frequent. It either an annual thing or half-yearly. There's usually a competition to go along with it.
Many people still find it amusing to see people dress up like that and gawk at them while the cosplayers walk on crowded shopping streets to & from the cosplay convention venues.

yeah, I like to 'people watch', I think that's slightly kinder than gawking. I think its amazing what people will dress like irl, so costumes don't necessarily make that much of a difference.
