Sticky: GAIA Town Bug Report Thread ~Read if you have towns issues~

Did you try everything posted above? Yes.
What exactly is wrong? I have 3 different problems, but they are all related to Gaia Homes. Every house I enter in towns is furniture-less. I can see walls, floors, and whether the lights are on or off, but that's it. My browser also freezes when entering a house if there is someone already inside. A pop-up window tells me that there is a script that's causing my browser to slow down. It asks me if I'd like to abort, and if I don't, the browser freezes and I have to force quit. FINALLY, and this is less about Towns and more about Homes, when I go to move furniture around in my house, both Safari and Firefox crash halfway through loading.
When Safari crashes while trying to load my Home Design page, a window pops up telling me that the problem may have been caused by the "TextXtra PPC plug-in".
What browser are you using? Firefox 3.5.3 and Safari 4.0.3
What Operating System are you using? Mac 10.5.8
Do you have a Firewall/security system? No.
How long has this been going on? About 3 days. I just returned to Gaia after taking a break starting in Feb, and it's been happening since I got back.
Has Towns ever worked properly before now? Yes.
Does it happen all the time or is there a pattern to it? All the time.
Will Towns work properly with a different computer? I don't have another computer to test it with.
Are you having issues with other Gaian Games or just towns? Homes as well.
Anything else we should be aware of? I've posted 2 boards, one in Q&A and one in Bugs, and each topic got one post saying that they were running the same browsers and no problems with any of this. One of them also had the same computer.

What exactly is wrong?
1. I go to the Town my house is in.
2. I go to the sign post and select "Change Town Name"
3. I make sure I have the 500 gold to pay for the name and enter a name, then I hit ok.
4. I recieve a message on the sign post saying "Transaction failed in TSAnchor:159"

Windows Firewall and Symantec.

How long has this been going on?
Almost a year that I'm aware of. The earliest I remember it starting was Fall '08.

Has Towns ever worked properly before now?
Yes.

Does it happen all the time or is there a pattern to it?
It happens all the time.

Will Towns work properly with a different computer?
No.

Are you having issues with other Gaian Games or just towns?
Just Towns.

Anything else we should be aware of?
Nothing I can think of.

Problem: Have gone to 4 towns and not receiving any candy from the Trick or Treat Event... do however see others receiving candy items.. I only have been getting this from all houses.... crying ..

What exactly is wrong? (Describe in steps, what you are doing to get the glitch that you experience. Please list any and all error messages that you notice.) I try to get into towns and rallys or games and it says cannot connect, or failed to load, and also it just stays on the loading screens.

What exactly is wrong? i cant see the bugs(the buzzz kind) in town, others can though

What browser are you using? Windows Internet Explorer

What Operating System are you using? Windows Vista

Does it happen all the time or is there a pattern to it? it happend gradualy after i caught a rare bug called Demonfly, the bugs slowly disappeared.

Will Towns work properly with a different computer? yes

Anything else we should be aware of? it works on my other accounts, its just this one im having problems with. i also found an Enchanted Wooden Trunk hopping around after about an hour of looking for the bugs, dont know if im lucky or its related somehow.

edit: WAIT!! im also having problems with posting, everytime i post in a thread my comment appears on the top of the page, i accidentally stole my friend's thread that way. it happened just now, as you can tell theres clearly something wrong by the times of the posts below me and mine ....

Welcome to the GAIA Town Bug Report thread. This thread is regularly checked into by Gaia staff so make sure to always act positively because you never know who could be watching. Make sure to read all the information before posting glitch information. Also, there is a Glitch report forum on the third post. What exactly is wrong? (Describe in steps, what you are doing to get the glitch that you experience. Please list any and all error messages that you notice.) Every time I go into Towns, everything works perfectly, it will fail to load sometimes but after being here for 4 years that is normal, the problem I am posting as started to piss me off, whenever I click in the chat box all of FireFox will just close in half a second, I tried it with Chrome and just Flash fails and gets and error, but all of Flash fails untill I restart Chrome, All other browsers do the same as FF.

Go to towns, click the directory, go to any spot, and then it stops loading on "Joining Server."
