Hi I’m Nat, and giveaway threads used to be one of my favorite places to hang out on Gaia. I’ve met some of my best Gaia friends in giveaway threads. So now I hold giveaways of my own. This is a giveaway were the more you talk with other people, the higher your chance of winning something. Everyone has a chance of winning, even if you come in at the last minute. So start posting and having fun! I've held several giveaways in the past, so, if you recognize this setup that's why.






Outline for those to lazy to read everything


Every time you post (something other than a bump) it's like getting one ticket to a lotto.
You don't have to be on when I give the letters away to win.
I don't need to be on for your posts to count toward winning.
Being nice and silly increases your odds of winning.
Prizes will be given away when the event ends





Letter Giveaway


All you have to do is be active in the thread and have fun. I don’t mean bumping though. I want to give prizes to people who hold conversations and know that Gaia is about more than getting items (although getting items is fun). You can talk to anyone in the thread and have just as much chance of winning as you would if you talk to me, so chat with whoever. Although I’m highly egotistical and love compliments, try to keep the sucking up to a minimum. Winners will be decided at the end of this event. I’ll pick the winners by using a random number post to pick a page number from this thread and then pick someone off that page. That way it's random and up to luck but at the same time I have some control over who gets the prize. I just want to make sure interesting people get the prizes, not just someone who only posts bump. I will always give out a letter to someone on the randomly chosen thread unless there are nothing but bumps on the page or the only conversation is extremely mean . I plan to give out at least 10 letters probably more in this way.






Random mini Giveaway


Every once and a while I’ll hold mini giveaways with small prizes of gold and items. When I’m holding one I’ll post the rules, a time limit, and a question. You’ll have the set amount of time to answer the question. Anyone who answers is entered and a winner is picked with a random number generator. When you answer the question a few sentences is fine. Also I ask that you quote my post with the question in it (in its’ entirety) so I can find your answer easily, and so everyone will know what’s going on.


Example
Q: What is a fruit you like and why?
A: I like watermelon because it tastes so good in the summer.


As you can see the questions aren’t hard. Their purpose is to see who is active in the thread at the time of the giveaway. Also they help everyone get to know each other. If there is ever a question about something you don’t like or don’t know about, just answer you don’t like or know about it.






When Things End!


As the event draws to a close I'll be busy finishing things up. Because some of the contests end after the event does I won't be able to post results here. So I will be posting them at my charity Strange Muffins. I invite you all to hang out at the charity once the event ends, I'm sure my charity regulars will be happy to see some new faces. So to recap, check my charity for contest results once the event ends.





Prizes


I have a lot of gold and items set aside to give out, including a Gogh Reed 4th Gen (which I'll think of something cool to give it out for). In the past I've made set amounts to give away but this time I'm just going to giveaway what I feel like. Please note I plan to give away a lot. Just to give you an idea of how much will be given out, I gave away over a million gold worth of prizes at my Halloween giveaway. The more activity in the thread the more I feel like giving. So be active and have fun :]

Freebie Art Contest


I'm holding a freebie art contest for the thread. Unlike a normal art contest where you draw specific avatars I specify, in this contest I encurage you to draw anyone in the thread. All you have to do to enter is draw free art for people in this thread.

How to enter:
Start a new photobucket folder
Upload any freebies you draw (must be of people in this thread) to the photobucket folder
Send me a pm with a link to your folder

At the end of the event I'll judge the freebie folders with the help of a few freinds. We'll be looking at both quantity and qualtiy. The goal is to have a good number of freebies that are of a nice quality. Depending on the number of entrents Aditional prizes for catogories such as highest quality or most freebies may be awarded.

The top prize will be 50k
Other prizes will be awarded depending on participation (the more people in the contest the more prizes there will be).

First to post
First on every 50 pages will get 1k. So first on page 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, ect gets a 1k prize. Post must be part of a conversation or the start of one. For example posting something like "What's your favorite band?" is fine. Posting something like "Bump" is not alright. If you want to include something about trying to be first that is fine, I just want to see that you're active in the thread and not just spaming (don't worry I'm really nice, it's really doughtful that I would not award your prize unless it's a bump). If you win just send me a pm and I'll get you your prize as soon as I can.

Last to post
Last person to post on every 25 pages will get 500 gold. So last on page 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, ect will win 500 gold. Post must be part of a conversation or the start of one. Costume Contest
As I browses the thread I may hand out random gold prizes for great Easter avatars. It could be a bunny, something spring themed, or simply a matching avatar with Easter colors. As long as I happen to be able to tell it's a special for Easter avatar you have a chance. So have fun and dress yourself up for Easter :]
