Keep it the way it is. I enjoy waiting to find out what the item is and to those who complain about price inflation: TOO BAD! If you want an item, donate! It's only $2.50. stare (and your helping gaia!) It's kinda stupid to change the opening date of the letters because they're supposed to be a secret. I know there are a lot of newbs who can't understand that it doesn't open until the end of the month, but with time they will understand (even though more newbs come every day sad )
So ya. Keep it at the end of the month please! I like the surprise.

If you release them at the begining of the month people will look at the item and be like, "Um, no I don't think I'll donate this month." If it's not a cool item.

I think more in the middle of the week, or the mid part of the month. Mostly because that gives everyone a chance to get the letters, and a week or two to get the items as well.

Then also, not everyone has time to inflate the items prices. >.<;;

I say middle of the month, just the right amount of time to get a letter and some spare time to make more gold for the next month.
