1) They're cool in general.

2) You kill people with them.

3) You can duke it out.

4) They give people goals and reasons to earn gold

also, I've been hearing all kinds of crap about the pets. Like "n00 we dun wannanny cuz liek then gaia wold be liek neopetz grrnoo!"

...If it gets Gaia more users and people like it.. why not? o_O I know I wouldn't mind having a pet.

Quests and a plot might be nice. But we're probably pretty far from that. I don't really see the priority for weapons, but there's all the newbs asking for weapons and such... whatever. sweatdrop
