In all honesty, I belive we have what I call a "Hypochondriac Economy." (Hope I spelled that right.) Meaning, when we even begin to believe things are tight, many think we are in a depression. When someone has to "cut back" by choosing the most basic internet and cable/phone package, they think they're in the crapper.

I saw a woman the other day at the store complaining how things are tight this season, when she was strolling around with a shopping cart full of toys.

What?

She said she could only buy half the amount of gifts she usually does.

Man...

I thought to myself, that even in a "recession," we have it better as a whole in this country than most "3rd world" countries who are having a STRONG economic year.

We're just spoiled is all. Take a rich kid's BMW away, and make him drive a Pinto, and he'll have a fit...no matter how well that Pinto runs.

But I'm just a biased middle-classed citizen who had to endure a childhood of borderline poverty. I'm not an educated economic expert who is feeding people's fears, so I'll just step down and let the pros handle this.

Personally the reccession hasnt done anything to me or affected my family at all so everything seems the same...and none of the banks we have got a bail out either...so nothing seems different.

i' worried about it but life seems ok for me right now, i hope things get better though.
I also looking for a job and with the recession its really hard to get one eek

If the Government would just give the American people some money the American people would go spend it at local shops and the local shops would pay taxes to the Government and the whole ordeal would be solved and over with! I mean WTF it's sooo simple!

I love how the answer really is that easy.. but the Gov. does not seem to notice.. or worse doesnt care.

i never really thought about it...i've been to into the teen life to care......now that im older and seeing the affects.....it sux that i was so oblivious to the new changing world around us and so caught up in my own life to worry about others lives.....well not anymore!

seeing as how my father was layed off (if you know steve buckly, from rooms to go, cuse him out for me) and he had the largest pay check and he's also cripled so no ones hiring him i should but i don't really care that much rolleyes
