I have a moto and it is "Facebook is for stalkers". This should not be like Facebook where some random people at the supermarket can somehow find and stalk you. The site works perfectly fine without the feature and should stay that way.

Meh, it kind of depends. If I were to find a friend on Gaia by searching their real name then I would message them telling the person that it was me trying to contact the person. I wouldn't really have my real name advertised, but if someone I knew and were friendly with messaged me and asked me who I was then I would tell the person : D
