While playing Thief the other day I got an interesting idea. A forest filled with trickster spirits, that shift and twist and warp the forest about causing the player to get lost. It would be a great place for random events or hiding secrets. By extension there could be access to a network of ancient tunnels beneath Gaia...and hidden in these tunnels is the root of all evil: THE WORLDS BIGGEST FURBY PLANT!!!

I have a suggestion, well actually two, one would be taverns/havens. These would be places that are not only useful pit stops but can also have links to some of the mini games if gaians just feel like roaming around this type of map...I think it would be interesting for us to be able to play cards against the people we saw in the world. The other suggestion is the access to secret areas through a system like how some people receive enchanted trunks. If I were to choose one I'd choose the latter..

All I can say is... Steam Relic. My favorite dungeon style concept EVER.
The basic premise is that EVERYTHING is a hazard, at least in some way. Most things move, some burn, others freeze, some simply drop you off into the seemingly bottomless pit below. I've had some entertaining designs on this premise, but, as I said, my little write up on Steam Relic was still my favorite. Still, I'd love to see something in that style, where you have to be more wary of the enviroment than the monsters. Particularly if you can lure unwary monsters into traps to get exp. |
