Recently, the GAIA Online Staff has come across many users who have taken it upon themselves to redirect others to the Stickies of the Battle Forum, or to a more appropiate forum for their thread. Please keep in mind that while doing so, we highly advise against doing so with abrasive and derogatory comments. While they may have violated the rules of the forums, flaming is a violation of the Terms of Service, and the GAIA Online Staff will take the necessary measures against those who would break these rules.
In order to avoid further violations, we would like to remind users of the Reporting System, which is accessibly via any thread. Should you come across any misplaced thread or threads that fall under the Commonly Asked / Answered Questions (details for both are viewable here), then direct your attention to the bottom of the page. There, you will find the  button that will take you to the report screen. Fill the box out with details that will sufficiently describe the reason the report was made. Likewise, if you come across any user that is breaking the rules in their posts, whether it be spamming, flame, trolling, etc., please direct your attention to the  button. When there, you will be asked to fill out a general report concerning what the violation may be. When doing so, give as much information needed in order to properly explain the details of the violation.Should one feel the need to respond to a thread, please do so in a courteous manner. When answering a question that may have been answered within the stickies / announcement, please repeat the answer and direct the users to the stickies, should you feel so inclined. Also, it is ill-advised to respond with off-topic banter as this can be seen as a form of spamming. Please use your better judgement when responding. We ask that you keep these issues in mind while enjoying the GAIA MMO forum. |
