Sign in Box

We've noticed a lot of posts regarding the sign-in box that occasionally pops up during gameplay.

The sign in prompt is not a hacking or fishing attempt. It pops up because your Gaia session has timed out. You can safely fill it out and go on playing the games without having to restart the set. Let us know if you have any questions.

Why is it that when you fill in the information, you do not get your score and you do not get the prize?

EDIT: I understand that you say the session has timed out, but I have personaly played five or six times in a row and was not asked this information. Meaning my session did not time out, but that I played for a longer period of time. My wifes account on the other hand played once and was asked this information. She logged out and came back, logged in and played through again and was asked again.

It's irritating because by the time I sign back in, Gaia has forgotten I played that session at all. I might as well close the window and start over.

It's hard to extract the specific reason you guys are getting the sign-in box outside of the fact that your session has expired for one reason or another. If your session expires prematurely, we have no way of knowing whether the problem is on our side or your side. It could very likely be a firewall or even another program that causes the problem, but we won't be able to troubleshoot every use case.

If something happens during the game and you lose your progress, the best advice we can give is to just replay the games. After the game fixes, it should be possible for everyone to obtain both items as the average scores for the games are all above five.

I've gotten that a couple of times, too.
But really, while it is annoying when you've just finished playing through all 10 games, it just isn't that much of a big deal, just play again! biggrin

When the log-in box popped out, I figured that my session that timed out, and that a log-in box was something similar to what happen on Slots, Fishing, etc. Which the thread seems to support---makes sense. I went to the Q&A, where someone said it was an hacking attempt, and I went to change my password just to be safe.

It told me my current password was wrong.

Five times.

Basically, it was saying that it was incorrect.

I ended up resetting my password by logging out, and clicking the "Forgot your password?" url.

Which confused the hell out of me, even after I read this thread.

Also, when I entered my username and password into the game's log-in box, it froze, the game ended, and told me my score for the vacuuming game. 'Cept, it was the "click the number in order!" game from the first day.

We've looked into this some more and are confident that the problem is outside of the Olympics framework, but have not eliminated the possibility of a server problem. For the time being, there's nothing we can do as the problem definitely isn't within the Olympics system. Server problems are more difficult to diagnose and repair, but we're looking into it. Again, make sure your Flash is updated, keep your browser active, and make it through the games as fast as possible.
