Are you referring to the delay in announcing the winner or the bit about filtering the scores? As far as the delay, we can't send out an announcement until normal business hours, when we have people around to debug potential problems with releasing the event prizes. Regarding the score filtering, I meant to use those as examples - in short, we just want to verify that nothing screwy influenced the scoring, which is the fair thing to do. Sorry if I was unclear.
The announcement thing is reasonable. You guys pulling over-time for this event is awesome. I was referring to the scoring. Fair is fair and all, but I know that plenty of people would be upset to see the lead that they've worked so hard to achieve and maintain ultimately turn out to be meaningless.
Even if that lead
might have been acheived by underhanded tactics? (I say
might because I don't know that I believe it was, but many things are possible).
Fair is fair, and I think it's much more important that the Bartonians know that their victory was either legitimate or the result of a few bad apples, and not that they were given it just because they would be upset if it changed.
wink Everyone should be proud, no matter what the numbers say. I'm personally hoping that it is rigged, and ends in a 4-way tie
