Hi there Gaians!
Some of you helped out with the relief efforts in the BP Oil Spill crisis that’s been going on in the Gulf of Mexico. A part of the proceeds from the sale of the Toxic Drop virtual item will go to a charity that’s assisting with the cleanup/restoration efforts. If you bought a Toxic Drop, a huge thank you for joining us in this cause! There are many worthwhile charities that are helping with the Gulf situation, but we’ve narrowed them down to these three charities and we’d like your input.
We like involving you guys in any way we can, so which charity would you prefer Gaia donate to? Tell us by voting in the poll above. The three choices are (click each to see their web site before voting):
• The United Way Gulf Recovery Fund
• The National Wildlife Federation Gulf Oil Spill Restoration Fund
• Nature Conservancy Donations
Disclaimer: We wish we could guarantee the end result, but Gaia reserves the right to make the final decision at its sole discretion should the need arise. But we always like hearing what your preferences are and we’ll do whatever we can to pick your most desired charity.

You guys have spoken and it looks like the clear winner is: The National Wildlife Federation Gulf Oil Spill Restoration Fund. So that's who we'll donate to. Thanks for telling us who you prefer. And although you can't buy the Toxic Drop any longer, we encourage everyone to keep helping with the oil spill cleanup efforts in any way you can. Everyone appreciates the support!
