Alchemy&Items bug fixes
Alchemy: Alchemy no longer will "recognize" items that are currently frozen or soulbound; the system will act as if they are not in your inventory. This should prevent any more issues with regards to failed attempts to conjure a formula using frozen/soulbound components.
It has been brought to my attention that The Orb Aggregates use zOMG orbs... which are soulbound. I'm working on a fix for this. Expect it next week.
Also, gold shops, /avatar/, /inventory/ and a few other pages got some bug fixes on the "Item Variations" pop-ups. The pop-ups are not needed for single-variation items (many gold shop items only have a single variation, whereas EIs, for example, have many variations). I've changed it so you don't have to bother with the variations for items that have only a single variation.
Less hassle and less unnecessary clicking!
Hey everyone, the Grunnygeddon event will be ending this Wednesday around noon PDT. If you're still missing some event items, this is your last chance!
Rare Diedrich drop rates have been increased across all the activities. The frequency of the scavenger hunt has also been increased. Use this time to grab the remaining Diedrichs you need for those items!
Edit 11:26 AM
At last count the scores were as follows:
Diedrichs Homogenated: 39062 (Easter Bunny)
Diedrichs Saved: 50929 (Diedrich)
...Also if you happen to have way too many Diedrichs of a particular color that you just want to get rid of, it is now possible to redeem at least 50 for a little gold on the event page.
We're changing the way the Philosopher's Cache item works in Alchemy. The new system will give you one of ten bag items instead of just a random component. Each bag has a different probability and contains a list of items that you can choose from. This removes some, but not all of the randomness of getting the item you want. If you don't get the bag you want, don't open it! Sell it on the Marketplace for some of that sweet sweet gold.
We'll be changing this shortly. The button to open the Philosopher's Cache will be disabled for a little bit while we shuffle some stuff around. Expect for it to be fully functional within the hour. If you have Philosopher's Cache and are ready to open it, wait for the new system because you are more likely to get what you seek.
In an effort to mitigate the damage by spammy profile comments, I've added code to all profiles that will skip the BBCode translation for profile comments if they are too long or contain code that will severely break our BBCode (and therefore the profile).
The changes should fix profiles that have previously broken due to way-too-long profile comments.
Also, remember that chain letter comments are spam.
They don't work - you will never get free gold by pressing the "f5" key (which refreshes a page, btw).
And they are a violation of Terms of Service (ToS).
