Towns And Houses

We are getting some complaints that some people are having trouble accessing parts of towns or their houses. Rest assured we are looking into it, and will keep you updated.

Update

We have restarted some of the servers. This seems to have corrected the problem. If anyone still experiences any problems please post them in the bug report forum.

Gold Values - commas!
We are adding commas in many places on the site where gold/GCash values are displayed and we will accept commas in more input fields. We will not be able to get all locations on this pass (we know we didn't updated Flash spaces), but hopefully it will help you make more informed decisions when you trade/vend/buy/sell/etc. items.

Note: we have made the system American-currency compliant (commas and an option period for the fraction). Mal-formatted currencies will error if not formatted as expected, rather than guess what you meant.

OMGPOP Working Again
We've fixed the issue that was causing OMGPOP to white screen that started last night -- so you may go henceforth and hovedrawballoonool(*).

Preventative maintenance
We're pushing a large change to game items to prevent game items from breaking the site in the near future. If all goes well, Gaia users will not see any changes. If anything breaks in the next few minutes, please report it to Bug Reports and we will try to fix it ASAP.

Housing Update

We have made a few updates to the houses and the housing editor. The biggest change, and by far the most requested is that you can now place equipable items in the house. You can place up to 100 non-housing items in your house by dragging them to the house icon in the inventory arranger. Other updates include kitchen cabinets that align, and the television has been fixed so that it can be turned off.

Event & ATA Update

Hey guys, there are a couple of things I wanted to inform you all about. The first is that the Valentines event will continue until Friday around 4 - 5 PM PST So if you still want to show your love towards your fellow Gaians... What are you waiting for!

The second is to update you on this post here that states we will be holding a special Ask the Admin tonight at 5PM PST since otherwise due to a holiday next week would mean no ATA for 2 weeks.

Towns, and Fishing fixes

You can now save the items from your backpack to your main inventory in Towns.

Saving buckets in Fishing has also been fixed.

Towns save is broken again

One or more users decided to abuse the system after it was fixed, so saving items to your inventory from Towns is once again broken (reverted back to its previous state).

We're looking in to ways of limiting abusers while still letting users save bugs. We'll hopefully have a fix by the end of this week.

While we're fixing it, you can still collect bugs, but saving them wont work.

Also after reviewing the *data of last Friday's mini-event, Durepuff clearly won... by lots.

AutoCash issues
AutoCash might be delayed. Our vendor company (the one that handles our AutoCash transactions) is giving us lots of errors -- this usually means that they are very busy. This usually only lasts for a few hours.

If you have AutoCash that usually runs today, it might run a little later than normal. I will try to send another DevNotice when the errors subside.

Just wanted to keep you up to date!

AutoCash restored
We've received a message that AutoCash should be up and working again. There have been no AutoCash errors in several minutes so I believe we are past the issues.

The system should catch up in an hour or two. You might be able to speed things up if you log out and log back into your account.

Towns changes

Due to a botting problem we encountered last week, we've made a few changes to how collecting bugs, and saving them to your inventory works.

First, you no longer have to manually save items from the backpack to your inventory. Items will be automatically saved to your inventory whenever you leave a Towns server. Clicking "Yes" on the save to inventory question does nothing now.

Second, there is now flood control on picking up items. Except for botters, nobody should hit this daily limit. It's been set quite high, but will prevent abuse.

Third, a bug has been fixed in the item generating code, so you should be seeing cans, and on rare occasion, boots!

Fourth, we know about the bug where you can't pick up certain flowers. It's being worked on, and should be fixed soon.
