So... the "bonus" cash is an additional 1200 gs on top of the 10$ you pay to sign up? This was rather confusing.

No, you get a bonus of 200 GC (which adds up to the 20%) for a total of 1200 for the price of 1000.

im feeling half and half about it. this site age starts at 13. at that age they have no credit cards. for an auto pay subscription there should be better incentives. things that will go beyond the first 3 months. i want to say that i would sign up but when gaia implements something new glitches always arise. this feature is dealing with peoples credit cards, ive seen the q&a and sometimes people dont get their cash from the cards they purchase at a store. ill just wait and see, thats my opinion.

A subscription implies that it's forced, like... you need to pay to join the site or something. I see this more as a Gold Account, Premium Account, etc. kind of deal.


I'm neutral at the moment. I want to see Gaia test the waters. A s**t storm's brewing already, but this is normal.

I never thought I'd see the day.
I actually don't like this idea...but my opinion could change when it comes out and more details are out. Its weird timing to release this because of the current economy.

The timing makes sense because of the economy. Gaia needs money (as always) too and if you tie an automatic payment to a credit card, there will always be people who forget to cancel it if it's not doing them any good, or people who would intermittently buy cash cards will now be on a regular schedule and Gaia won't have to worry about everyone buying cash one month with nobody buying any the next. It must have taken them forever to come up with this plan, actually. Figuring out how much people would pay a month and what bonuses are fair without going too much over the top must have been a pain. It will be interesting to see how this goes over.
