Mm... I like a lot of those!

A: Hmm... really minimalist, very basic, but doesn't even come close to touching everything else there is to do on the site, or even what you can do with that gold that you've earned by posting. ^^;

B: I like this one much better than A. It gets into more of what you can do, and while mentioning the gold on the front page would be nice, you really can get into that more once someone is a member, maybe as a short tut before actually getting to play with the site. Moira had a new user quest at one point. But this one might pique someone's interest with things they can talk about. Maybe use something other than Rally as the middle image? I've never gotten the sense that Rally was all that popular.

C: I very much like C, but only as it pertains to the dress up crowd, of which I am one. Since that is one of the foundations of the site, this is a very important thing to stress. I also like the layout of it, and the humor involved, which is also integral to Gaia. ^^ Definitely like this one.

D: Yay, I really like this one. It touches on all the things that are big and hip to do on Gaia right now, but I would suggest maybe mentioning things that are less faddish in the chat bubble? Eventually the hype around all three of those things is going to die down and then it won't be relevant anymore. The layout is okay, but not outstanding. Can't give suggestions to improve it much though, sorry.

E: Uhm... I like the drawing? But it would do absolutely nothing to make me sign up except laugh. and maybe wonder who that artist was.

F: I like F, but I feel that posting/playing games and such is essential to being able to shop. Otherwise, this is a great layout and shows that you can strut your avi about in places other than the forums. I still like C or D better, though.

G: Not a big fan of this one, either, honestly. I know the userbase seems mostly female, but we do have a strong male fanbase, too, and females with male avis. A male avi should be an example, as well, or they could be turned off the site. o: And we want the guys here, too!

H: What I choose to dress up as has no bearing on "who am I, really" so this one is a no go for me. It sort of falls flat. ^^;

I: Now this one is nice. It showcases many avi options without being so blatant, and mentions other things you can do. Very nice.


In short, I like C, D, and I the best. But I still really like the big button. ^^ That one shows off Gaia's quirky sense of humor so well, and showcases the avis...

i like the one that starts with "gazillions of looks", though you may want to throw in a male avi in there alongside the girl. but that might change how the whole picture feels.

• A: simple how-to
  While minimalistic...it does get the basic idea across. But perhaps it encourages people to spam? I read from other Users that new Users are signing in and just spamming around to "Get Gold".
  How about changing "Post Comment" to "Chat with Gaians" or something. Though I guess my thought about the spam is theory.
  
  
• B: 3 things to do
  This one I like, it is simple and gets the idea across. It is more inviting.
  
  
• C:avatars
  Again, with the use of "Get Gold". Try an alternative word, like "EARN GOLD". Because that is what we do here.
  Besides that, I like the set up.
  
  
• D:home
  This one gathers up Gaia Online rather nicely. Hmm... though I wouldn't be advertising about the Aquarium, since half the items for the Aquarium require people to spend real cash, once their free fish die.
  
  
• E: anime
  Again, I am focusing on the wording. Do you want parents looking over their kids shoulder, and seeing the word "Badass" flashin in the screen? I think that could give people second thoughts.
  I like the use of the drawing though.

  Hmm I like this one.
  
  
• G: avatars 3
  This one is cute... a little too pink for my taste.
  I think you guys need to chill on showing all these limited items... they are not easy to obtain. And I feel they give people the impression, that they can get this stuff right off the bat.

  Too cluttered and just unorganized. In fact it seems rather lazy sweatdrop

i think they're all ok.
on home 2 though - you have an avatar sitting on a couch. the last time i checked, you couldn't sit on the furniture in homes. are you guys planning to make that happen?

F and G i guess.....they seem rather more interesting then the rest of your examples. I would like to see the mermaid one again.

not sure why the login page needs dressing up to be honest, but oh well.

C is like a billboard - which I hate and complain a lot about.

H has too little content as to what the site is about.

i really really like F...it's very appealing to the eyes...the others seem rather plain...
on the other hand, F doesn't really show how you can get started in Gaia....
D gives a better summary of what you can do when you join Gaia

I really really love option H. If it can be combined with D (luff the bubbles there), it would look awesome to me. I don't like the associations to housing, since the towns-feature is so full of hackers/scammers that it shouldn't be advertised that openly, imho.
